This location is the OG Morton's in Chitown. We were expecting way more to be honest. We have been to countless (and I sincerely mean countless) Steakhouse's in Chi and I don't think this place delivered. My biggest disappointment was the steak. It was extremely salty. Like I mean it tasted like it was soaked in salt. Usually I'd send something like that back but our server was such a doll I didn't want to offend her but I understand that restaurants are getting back into their groove with their reopenings due to COVID, and I just didn't feel like going through all of that hullabaloo.My bf was pissed that I didn't send it back but we were running late to a UFC fight and I didn't want to deal with it. Whatever.His Porterhouse was perfect on the other hand so clearly there was just a little heavy handedness happening with mine.Creamed spinach must've been cooked with nutmeg or Clove and gave it a weird aftertaste.Au gratin potatoes good.Crab cakes good.Shrimp cocktail good (u-15).Cesar salad good.Sangria good.Sancerre-yummy.Blooming Hibiscus-NEEDS more purée. We both agreed it was very light on the purée, lime juice, and syrup. Mainly tasted like Tequila and Soda with a slight splash of purée.Not sure we'll be coming back. But glad to have crossed it off our Steakhouse list of Chicago.
