Horrible service at the bar, the woman was rude and had to be flagged down to order every single one of my 4 drinks. Then slams a number down when asked for more toast. This place is not POC friendly as we were the only ones at the bar not being asked if we needed anything else and were basically ignored. She would walk away in the middle of my sentence while ordering. Instead of asking if I needed anything else, I had to stop her from walking away to continue my order. The barback notice how rude she was and stepped in. Had to place my drinks on the bartenders ledge for them to be removed. Her entire disposition was awful and dont plan on being back. Hopefully this place shuts down soon to make room for a more welcoming establishment.

Mother’s Ruin has that perfect mix of laid-back vibe and great energy. The cocktails are incredible — creative, well-balanced, and consistently delicious. You can tell the bartenders really know what they’re doing and take pride in their craft.
The food is fantastic too — way better than you expect from a bar, with bold flavors and fresh ingredients. It’s one of those places where you order something small “just to snack” and end up wanting everything on the menu.
Service is friendly, fast, and fun — everyone behind the bar and on the floor has great energy and makes you feel welcome right away. Whether you're stopping in for a casual drink or staying for a full night out, it always hits the spot.

This bar is my favorite bar. The vibes are lowkey but cute and fun. The music is always on point. The late night drunk eats are clutch (get the mushroom nachos, they will save your life.) The regulars are cool. The staff is great at their jobs and a good hang and also Marina is bae 💕

I stopped here for the first time about a week ago to meet a friend, and I wish I’d visited sooner! Such a cool place to unwind and have a cocktail with friends at. If you come here though, you HAVE to try the whipped feta. It was SO GOOD I WOULD EAT IT WITH A SPOON LIKE ICE CREAM. Ugh, drooling now just thinking about it. Their cocktails are also incredibly well made. Keith the bartender was so friendly and attentive, even though it was super busy each time I made my way to the bar. He also whipped up this amazing carrot juice shot that was so refreshing. 11/10 Mother’s Ruin! Yall are awesome!

It's a great spot, Keith is a gem as well as Marina and Sarah. Get a tattoo typo or any whiskey drink and you'll be happy. Pickleback lovers, the pickle juice here is exceptional. The food is good, and for a bar there are some healthy options too. The atmosphere is always very lively.

Stopped here after a Cubs game as it was one of the few places open late at night that was serving food. We ordered the burger and wings and they were delicious! This bar is perfect for any type of gathering and late night snack. Will be coming back.
