My husband and I love coming here for brunch! Great service and food is consistently great.
Always good. We had our toddler with us but the service was fast and really good. Always recommend
TLDR: bland food that accompanies Midwest taste buds, coupled with terrible operations. We went for restaurant week had been meaning to try this place. Apparently the burger is on a different menu than the ones they handed to us. The table was tiny and they brought out apps and entrees together - the table was so full to where we couldn't navigate our food. The food itself was so bland. I've never had “Asian fusion” lack basic seasoning - was the pork even salted? How is it possible that fish tastes so bland? We almost returned a dessert that they tried and called “daifuku” - having been to Japan, I can tell you it was about as far away from it as you could get. Thankfully they mistakenly sent us another dessert that was actually edible. Service was decent and servers were nice. But why is it so loud in there? Would not recommend overall.
This has become one of my favorite restaurants in Chicago. Every single thing I have had here was amazing. The cocktails are fantastic, the burger is top 3 in the city, all the veggie stuff is so good. OMG I love this place!
Best burger in the city... by far! Atmosphere and service were both great as well. We will definitely be back!
This was a great experience. I chose this place to celebrate my birthday at, and it did not disappoint.
Stopped by for brunch and had an overall satisfying meal. The burger was a standout with well-balanced flavors. The pork belly Benedict was also enjoyable with tender & rich pork belly, and the congee was comforting and full of umami.
The KBBQ jackfruit skillet was a miss - it sounded great on paper but fell a bit flat flavor-wise. The pancakes with hibiscus butter and coconut were decent but not especially memorable. Overall, the portions also leaned a bit small for the price. That said, the meal was still enjoyable overall, and the staff were very friendly and pleasant.

Mott St. is a decent neighborhood spot with a menu centered on shareable comfort food. The burger is solid, and the hoisin aioli and sweet potato frizzles inside the burger add sweetness and texture, giving it a bit of uniqueness in Chicago’s long list of burgers. However, the bottom bun was noticeably soggy — whether intentional or not, it soaked up the juices and lost its structure, which took away from the overall experience.
The menu leans heavily into shareable items, making it an easy choice for brunch or a casual drink with friends.

Mott St had a great energy from the moment it opened- busy, lively, and welcoming! I am not usually a burger person, but the famous Mott Burger completely won me over. The hoisin aioli and miso butter took it to another level. And the burger itself was just so juicy!
A great place to check out in Chicago and absolutely worth it.

We ordered our food , we were brought out several dishes , my husband ordered only the burger and after 40 minutes he had not received it, my son and I were on our third course, he asked where his burger was and asked the server to check on it , she kept saying it’s coming out soon, after 50 minutes of waiting for his burger, and my son and I were done with our food , a manager and someone else came out and told my husband how rude , he was asking the server to check on his burger, he was told he needed to apologize, and he did, but we couldn’t understand, after almost an hour they brought out his burger then brought out to go containers and said we just needed to leave , they waived our bill despite us wanting to pay , so we left , very awful experience !! Don’t go there!!!

As we walked in, the 2 hostesses were talking logistics about seating arrangements and unfortunately we were not greeted before being seated. “What’s your name?” was the limit of our interaction. Our server was attentive but didn’t have a pleasant/warm/welcoming demeanor. We chose this restaurant based on watching chef Edward Kim on Top Chef and had high expectations. Between 2 people, we ordered 5 entrees + a starter. Definitely thought our server would be more excited about our desire to try as many dishes as possible but she was rather stoic. The one dish we really enjoyed was the avocado rillettes and the one big miss - jackfruit skillet. Of course we gad to try the famous Mott burger but we weren’t asked how we would like it cooked, it came out medium. I think brunch was a fail for us; maybe dinner would have been better. Ultimately the vibes off the bat was the start of a negative experience. We definitely expected more from a Michelin guide restaurant and chef Edward Kim, both in terms of service and food. It really hurts to say we would likely not recommend this restaurant to a friend (at least for brunch).
