The hype is real. The beef sandwich is worth the wait. It is super delicious! They are fast preparing the food! I am from Cali & have been craving this spot ever since i tried it. It's a must place if you are in the Chicago area.

As fans of the Bear, we had to stop by here for an Italian Beef Sandwich. The interior is nice and matches with the show. The service was very quick and the sandwich was affordable. Beware that there are some days out of the week that are cash only for payment. We believe the worker said Friday and Saturday. The sandwich had so much beef and the peppers added a good flavor. The jus that the sandwich is drenched in was a bit much for me and was kind of taking over the flavor profiles of the sandwich. It made it just a tad too oily so had to dock a star for that. Overall, do add this place to your food bucket list, especially if you're a fan of the Bear

Great sandwich reasonably priced but the star for me is the bbq beef it's so deep with flavor that it shines cash and card for a small fee but be prepared to wait during the lunch run because it is a popular spot now with tourist the staff is quick to get orders out it's the patrons that kind of slow things down it's worth the wait but don't expect to be in and out unless you are going before or after lunch time. The ambiance is nice no frills grab your food type of place they have a dining area but I always take it to go you can't really miss with this spot nice portions good price and clean fast service

If you're a fan of The Bear, you undoubtedly know that Mr. Beef was the inspiration (and actual shooting location) for the show, so while we were in Chicago, we had to give it a try. We had read a bunch of articles online about the proper way to order because we had been led to believe that there was a Soup Nazi kind of environment to the place, but that's couldn't have been further from the truth. We were well prepared, but the guy who took our order couldn't have been nicer, despite the big lunchtime crowd. An Italian beef sandwich is not something I would generally seek out, but there really wasn't any other way to go in this situation. It's hard to believe that a beef sandwich could melt in your mouth, but this one truly did. The key is to get it dipped - that way the bread gets nice and mushy. We also tried the onion rings which were very good. The "dining room" is pretty basic - it's just one long table that goes the length of the building with benches on either side. Our visit to Mr. Beef was definitely worth the trip!

There’s parking the line was long but moved quick. Italian beef was really delicious fries were crispy and yummy and the pistachio cannoli is something I’ll be back for often. Staff- amazing
