From the moment we stepped into Munno Pizzeria and Bistro, we were greeted with a warmth that only foreshadowed the delightful evening ahead. The ambiance strikes a perfect balance between elegance and comfort, making it an ideal setting for any occasion. Each dish we ordered was a testament to the chef’s mastery over Italian cuisine, blending traditional flavors with a modern twist that left us savoring every bite. The pizza, with its perfectly charred crust and innovative toppings, was a highlight, while the pasta dishes were reminiscent of a culinary journey through Italy. What truly sets Munno apart, however, is the impeccable service. The staff’s attention to detail and genuine care for the dining experience made us feel truly special. Our dinner at Munno Pizzeria and Bistro wasn’t just a meal; it was a memorable dining experience that we’re already looking forward to repeating. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, missing out on this Michelin-starred gem would be a mistake. Bravo to the Munno team for exceeding our expectations!

This place is just the absolute best. Husband and I live in the neighborhood and go somewhat often. It never disappoints. In fact our last experience was probably the best of them all (and all the prior experiences were excellent). They had a melted leek, ricotta, and sausage pizza that was probably the best pizza we've ever had. Then finished off with a perfect goat cheese basque cheesecake. The service is always impeccable (we love Troy!) and the fact that they've maintained the same folks for years speaks volumes about how much management values them.12/10 - run don't walk.

This place is just an absolute delight. We've only eaten on the patio but it's a very nice calm and relaxed vibe. All the pizzas pastas and salads we have tried have been delicious- you can't go wrong. I think this is the best iteration of this type of pizza in the neighborhood (and probably most of chicago).

Went to Munno to celebrate my husband's birthday! When you walk in, you can smell the fresh pizza dough! My husband got a glass of rose and I got the limoncello spritz and both were delicious. We both ordered pizzas because they are individual sizes. The mozzarella on the pizza was incredibly fresh and everything was cooked perfectly. We will absolutely be back.

I will do my best to properly articulate what a spectacular time we had at Pizzeria Munno! My wife and I had wanted to come here for a while and finally found a time on Valentine's Day.Our server and wait staff were so kind and personable and could not have asked more from them.We ordered an appetizer of Bufala and Prosciutto, which was light and delicious. For the main course, we couldn't pass on the pizzas and ordered (forgive me, I forget the names), but the pepperoni pizza with drizzled Italian honey and then the artichoke pizza. They both were both so different, but incredible in their own ways.Lastly, we ordered dessert, to which they had a special pistachio Bundt cake slice drizzled with olive oil.I would highly recommend this restaurant and am regretful it took us so long to patronize. I can't wait to return and eat more scrumptious food!

The beet salad and potato pizza were delicious! I hope they put the beet salad on their permanent menu. Great little spot, need a reservation, especially on the weekend.

I stopped by here for Valentine's Day with my pizza loving girlfriend. I have passed by this place hundreds of times, but once I heard they received a Michelin bib gourmand, I figured it would be the perfect place to treat her and cross off another restaurant from the Michelin guide. Even though they have been lauded for their pasta, we came to eat a few of their many Roman style pizzas. I had my eye on the Pizza Bologna, but they informed us that they ran out due to the high demands of a Valentine's Day service. I used to work at a high volume restaurant downtown so I get it. It was still disappointing, though. They were even all out of the second pizza of my choosing. So I decided to get the diavola sbagliata while my girlfriend had the bufalina and they were both very good. Nothing mind blowing because it's an elevated pepperoni pizza, but definitely very solid. Based on the quality of the pizza I had, I'm sure that what I originally wanted would have been fantastic. I heard the pasta here is top notch so I will definitely be back to order it and the pizza I originally set my sights on.

We went to Munno a little over week ago. From the start we found the waiter to quite standoffish and uninterested. We decided to give him a chance. As time went on and the more things we requested he seemed to get more angry. At this point we asked to see a manager. The waiter was very upset by this, so he proceeded to get aggressive and asked me if i want to step outside and deal with it physically. My table was shocked. The manager then appeared as I confronted the waiter face to face and asked we all leave and that the meal would be on them. As nice a gesture that was we where the bigger people and paid for our service, but my god to be considered a Michelin style restaurant and have a staff member want to fight you is crazy and very unprofessional. I have reached out to see if that waiter is still possibly employed there but have never heard back. Shameful i will for sure do my best to take to social media and express how terrible we where treated and make it well known.thank you
