I've visited this coffee shop many times over the past year because of its convenient location. Unfortunately, after yet another disappointing experience, I won’t be returning.
The coffee, service, and prices have consistently let me down. I love supporting local businesses and often visit the many great coffee shops in the neighborhood. I kept giving this one another chance simply because it was convenient, especially on busy mornings. However, I just so often leave disappointed. For instance, I placed a mobile order through their website for pickup at the Logan location. I made sure to select the correct location. When I arrived, I explained I had a pickup order, and was abruptly told I had ordered to the wrong location and would need to reorder. There was no effort to clarify or assist—just a dismissive response and a quick turn away.
Honestly, I wouldn’t have minded having to reorder if someone had just taken a moment to explain the situation—especially since I had used their own website and confirmed I selected the right location. I mentioned I selected the Logan location (with the receipt on my phone) and received no response. It seems they don’t actually process mobile orders from the site, but if that’s the case, they should disable that feature rather than charging people and then acting like it's their fault. I had already been charged and did not want to be charged twice for one coffee so I just left.
This experience was just one of many where the service was cold, the coffee subpar, and the pricing hard to justify. I rarely ever leave negative reviews, but I think it’s important to share when a place consistently disappoints.
Save your money and try one of the many other excellent coffee spots in the neighborhood.

Fast and friendly service. I got Nitro and it was great, not bitter like it often is other places. Nice outdoor seating area.

Great coffee and tons of other fabulous drinks, including delicious mocktails. Try the Blackberry Matcha!! Everyone is friendly, and the atmosphere refreshing. Come for the drinks and stay for the food. Everything is fantastic.

Worst matcha ever. Still need to try the coffee I’m sure its better. Also the pastries are mid and don’t seem fresh considering the price.

Automatic 20% gratuity when all I was buying was a bag of coffee beans and the staff didn't ground them or anything? I am forced to tip 20% for checking out?? Never coming back here. That's such a fraudulent business practice. No way.

Pretty good coffee served via a walk up window. Nothing wrong with it, just many places for good coffee in the area and not the best one.
Update: The owner asked whose coffee we preferred. We thought Pedestrian Coffee and Brew Brew were probably the best we had this trip.

Cannot recommend.
The pastries were excellent but that is where I run out of nice things to say about this place.
The matcha was decent. The nitro was roughly half foam and mediocre.
The prices, however are borderline unbelievable. A small matcha, a regular nitro and two pastries came out to $35.
In a priceless vacuum this would be a decent spot but there are far too many coffee shops in Chicago and Logan square with better product for considerably better prices.

I may dare to say that this place has the best coffee beverages in the entire city. I love that their seasonal offerings are never too sweet, balanced and unique. They are knowledgeable about espresso and take their time making drinks. I don’t mind the wait as it’s in a lovely neighborhood and there is seating near by. The standard 6 or 8oz cups (not sure which) they use are nice since you don’t get too much milk resulting in a diluted drink. It is also fun the variety of food they offer and they package it up and present it very nicely - these small details count!!
The only bummer is that sometimes the staff can be very cold towards you or quiet. I give them the benefit of the doubt as I’m sure they have to be tired but last time I asked for my cortado in a larger cup or to leave room the barista in the back said annoyed: “you ordered a cortado, but you don’t want a cortado?” It made me feel lame and I had to nervously defend why I was making that request which was that I was saving it for later so I was gonna top it off.
Please be patient as many don’t actually know the difference or meaning of these drinks and their ratios. Besides that you guys are crushing and I will continue to refer you to every coffee lover I know. The prices are worth it as the product delivered is excellent.

I really wanted to support local businesses, so I gave this place another shot after a disappointing experience. I ordered two items online, but when I arrived, one of them wasn’t available at the Logan Square location. Fine, I get that things run out, but the website should be updated to reflect what’s actually in stock.
I decided to give it another try and, unfortunately, this visit was just as frustrating. Nothing was available in the bakery.
I understand things can be tough, but if you're going to offer products online or in-store, they need to be available and of decent quality.
