Every bite of the Magherita pizza was absolutely delicious! Succulent, juicy and mouth watering flavor that just makes you shake your head.
Pasta, same thing!
I felt like I was at Mrs. Basano's house in Santa Cruz, California.
Pricey, yeah maybe but damn sure worth it. YUM!!!

I've never had a better spicy seafood pasta in my life. It's spicy and savory, and you'll be left wanting more.

Pasta was subpar, overcooked with sauce that was nothing special. I should have asked for Parmesan cheese (surprised it wasn't offered). Pizza was good - my friend said the crust was good.

Breathtaking Italian restaraunt that blew my expectations. First, the service was top notch, never forgetting to refill our water glasses three times, and being available always. There was a lot to choose from but i chose the the sarrachino with mussels and black truffle, ans was incredibly rich, perfect amount of salt, a very nice savory sauce that paired very well with the mussels, which were perfectly done. The only downside was that i couldnt really taste the black truffleI, it was too subtle for me. I also wish the portion size was larger because it was absolutely delicious, which made up for the hefty $32 price tag. The meat pizza was very thin, crispy, succulent, and the meat was very tender. Overall a fancy dinner, though very expensive, but the quality makes up for the price. Also the wait time is super short!! No more than 10 minutes! As a result dinner was short but a meaningful experience on the uchicago campus, so definitely will want to come again

Hyde park Italian is very near UofC. Both inside and outside seating. Great pizza and pasta. Giovanni is a terrific waiter and treats customers like family.

This place serves my absolute favorite pizza in the Chicago area, and I can't recommend it enough. I find myself there more often than I'd like to admit, enjoying their amazing salads, appetizers, and pastas. Don’t miss out—it’s 101% worth it!

Great service! Ate with my dog on the patio. Great atmosphere, but know that the fire department is nearby so sitting outside can get loud. Food is a bit pricey but seafood was good quality. The squid in the seafood dish was amazing! Panna cotta was okay. I’m more into bourbon than beer, but I really enjoyed the amberata.

Very cute restaurant near U of C. We made reservations and did not wait at all. Service was swift and the food came out quickly and was quite good.

This was, without a doubt, the best pizza we've ever had—and we've had plenty! We tried three different pizzas, and each one was perfectly prepared and absolutely delicious. We can't wait to come back the next time we're in Chicago!

One of my favorite pizza spots in New York! The cracker-thin crust and top-notch toppings are always on point, and the service is exceptional—they really make you feel at home. It’s a smaller place, so be prepared for bar seating or communal tables, but that doesn’t bother me at all. The pasta, pizza, and appetizers are all fantastic and definitely worth the space in your stomach. I recommend getting a half-and-half pizza to try two different flavors. I come to Chicago once a year from Texas, and this is always my first stop after my trip!

The atmosphere is warm and inviting, striking a perfect balance between comfort and class. The food is outstanding—some of the best pizza you’ll find, with a soft, thin crust, just the right amount of crunch, and a deliciously sweet plum tomato sauce. Their pasta is amazing as well. Definitely a must-try!

I was celebrating a birthday at a table for 4. I really enjoyed the space. The food was up and down. The fried calamari and buratta with prosciutto was superb. The prosciutto had such good flavor and the calamari was so crisp and tender. I ordered pasta with seafood in a red sauce. The pasta noodle was excellent but the sauce and seafood were uneventful and seafood lacked flavor. The gnocchi was a bit hard and not what I expected. There was no potato or ricotta to soften it. The desserts were good. The carrot cake was moist and the frosting was great. The pistachio cheesecake was good as well. Service was so attentive and friendly.
