Nellie's has the best steak jibaritos! The coconut oatmeal is also delicious. The maduros are hit and miss - sometimes they're soft and sweet, other times they're dry. The service can be slow, but it is always friendly. Decor is easy-going and comfortable with fun art. The restaurant and bathrooms are clean. Nellie's is our favorite spot for Puerto Rican and worth the drive (about 35 minutes for us).
I ordered the egg and ham sandwich and it was pretty good. I do think that the customer service could use a little work since no one came to check on me after I received the food and it took forever to get the check even after I asked for the check.
Been wanting to go here for almost a year and finally went. Got the jibarito breakfast special and it was so delicious! They surprised us with some oatmeal with cinnamon hearts on it before delivering the food. Best oatmeal I’ve ever had. Servers were so so nice and great atmosphere!! I mentioned I haven’t come yet because my partner is vegan and GF and the server said they are flexible with accommodations and can substitute dishes with meat for grilled veggies etc - can’t...
