The worst store in Chicago, because some of their staff are racist!
While shopping there, my wife and I (Asian) were asked by a staff member to move aside and look at the menu on a table. After we did so and waited at the table, she came back with two white customers and told us to leave the table so she could serve them first.
This was ridiculous: we followed her instructions, yet were pushed aside despite having been there first. Everyone deserves to be treated with respect, and unfortunately this store failed to show even the bare minimum. We’ve been Nespresso customers for years, but this experience seriously made us question that loyalty.

I came in with my boyfriend the day after we bought their travel mug and some pods. The lady that helped us the first day was very impatient and rushed us even though we were one of the few there. They were not busy at all. As we were looking through the books she rolled her eyes and asked us for our information to check us out. When I told her we were still looking, she did not say anything and was not friendly at all. We came back the next day because we were having issues with the lid of our travel mug and was worried we got a faulty one. The old guy that helped us answered our questions but was not friendly. We also saw that they had new pods out so we wanted to try a tester. We asked the lady with the short hair for a tester and she responded saying “wait I’m helping someone else”. We waited in line for her to finish up. When she did, she helped someone else who came in after us. I asked another girl for a tester and she also said that she is helping someone else. I told her that we were supposed to be helped by the other girl but she decided to help someone else that came in after us. She responded by telling the old guy that we were next and he did not acknowledge us. We decided to walk out.
The staff had serious attitude issues and are clearly RACIST. I doubt it was a coincidence that we had the worst experience there and we were the only asians. The man that was helped who came in after us was white and so were the other people that got fast service. We will NEVER come back and I would rather buy pods secondhand than come to this store ever again. I have seen similar reviews of this place so I suggest Nespresso find new staff before this place closes down because of their rude and racist staff!

Rude staff.
We waited in line but they served someone else first.
It's not like we were there for freebies, we got some travel mugs and a couple sleeves.
Could it be because I came with an asian?
Came here 3 times already the past few months, and when we asked to try just ONE espresso, it would be giving off extremely rude vibes.
Never coming back again, you need to train your staff, nespresso.

We came in on December 31st in the afternoon, genuinely excited. We already own a Creatista, we’re from Detroit, and this visit was supposed to be part of the experience learning more, exploring coffee, enjoying the brand we’ve invested in.
Instead, the staff was cold and unwelcoming from the start.
When we politely asked how the store experience works, the response we got was:
“You need to buy coffee if you want free coffee.”
No one ever asked for anything free. We were clearly there to buy. The assumption alone was unnecessary.
What made it worse was the tone and body language. My husband has a non-US accent, and the shift in attitude toward him was obvious dismissive looks, visible discomfort, and a sense of suspicion. At one point, the employee held onto the machine as if it might be taken. That moment said everything.
Luxury brands live and die by respect and perception. When a customer walks in excited and leaves feeling judged, something is broken. Power doesn’t come from guarding products or belittling people it comes from confidence and hospitality.
We were excited about Nespresso. After this experience, we’re done.
Not because of the product but because respect is non-negotiable. We also noticed the same guy having the same attitude towards two black women.
Thank you to Adrienne and the team for the great customer support when I had an error with an online order. So fast and simple!

Well NOW I GOT TO ASK . What are the rules when you come here? Can you pre order online for pick up?
Love the pods but I can’t help but remember that after standing in a very long line and watching everyone in front of us he offered coffee. As the only 2 black women in line and at the store did not receive the same level of courtesy. The older gentleman with gray hair and no glasses completely ignored us when we got to the front of the line. Did not get acknowledged until it was our turn. Very disappointing. Do better bloomingdales

I went to the store looking to order a Nespresso machine and get some pods for the machine. There was difficulty with using my gift card for an online order. However, the staff was very wonderful and attentive when trying to figure this out. They were all very kind and were very hardworking individuals. Store and flow of everything was very organized.
Nice store inside bloomingdales.Good customer service and product!! It can get crowded at times.
So disappointed with the service and responsiveness of this location. We walked in & stood patiently waiting for someone to greet us. Multiple employees walked past us without providing a greeting or asking if we’d been helped. A group of women walked in after us, and were immediately greeted and an agent said, “give me one second, I'll be right with you.” As we stood right in front of them in line. We left immediately without purchasing our refill pods because it was so rude and disheartening. We don't spend money where we do not feel welcomed or valued as a customer.

If there is more than two customers in this store, expect to wait in line for 25 min for a sleeve. Do yourself a favor and just order online.

We were thinking of buying a machine and visited this location. We were welcomed by Fhatiha. She was very knowledgeable about the machines and coffees. If you are in the market for a Nespresso, this is the place! Nice assortment of flavored pods and sample a variety too.
