Loved Nettare! Went for a birthday brunch and the waiter was super, super friendly — even gave me a complimentary cookie. Was very good about giving recommendations as well. The breakfast sandwich (without bacon, with confit mushrooms) was amazing, as was the lamb sausage sandwich. The potatoes are a must-try with the giardinera aioli. Also loved their Winter in Japan drink and Vanilla Maple Iced Latte. Their cinnamon bun is also really good — has orange zest in it which makes it stand out. And SUCH a nice space — very green. Definitely recommend if you’re in West Town!

Beautiful surroundings. Beautifully and thoughtfully decorated.
We stopped in early (1pm) for the tail end of lunch service. We had a great time. We were welcomed nicely. Service was really nice. The menu though— drinks and food are on another level. Everything is just elevated a little bit more.
We started with coffee drinks, shared the ham hash, and ended with their mimosa which is better than any other place.
Thoughtful, elevated, approachable and wonderful experience.

My wife and I were immediately greeted with a rude and dismissive attitude by the host upon arrival. We were told there would be a 25-minute wait, which was fine. I politely asked if there were any seats available at the bar, and the host responded aggressively with “NO.” When our table was ready, she curtly said “come on,” which startled both of us due to how unprofessional it felt. While being walked to the table, we noticed several open bar seats and asked again if we could sit there instead. Once more, the response was an abrupt and dismissive “No.” The consistent attitude and lack of basic courtesy were enough for us to decide to leave. We chose not to spend our money at an establishment where customers are treated with such disrespect. Good customer service costs nothing, and unfortunately, this experience fell far short of that standard.

Nettare is great - I’ve only visited for brunch or to pick up a latte, but the prices are very reasonable and the brunch dishes were light and perfect for ordering a few plates to share with friends. Their fresh pastries (available at the front of the house or to order at your table) are especially delicious, both sweet and savory. Some of my favorite pastries in the neighborhood, and they’ve filled the gap Aya left.
The front café area is a standout as well. The cafe is open till closing, making it a great place to linger, and the interior and overall atmosphere are incredibly unique and aesthetic. Definitely worth a visit!

Coffee was amazing, food was ok. Service was unbelievably slow, almost comically slow. Was pretty much ignored unless we flagged someone down. This could have to do with the automatic gratuity on every check.

Haven’t actually had the food here yet but do plan on it soon. The food looks delicious. My friends and I always come in for drinks while we wait for Lao Peng You. I highly recommend this place for drinks! The bartenders are amazing and make such great cocktails. I also love that they have a THC drink that does the job and doesn’t taste bad at all.

This restaurant was an absolute delight to dine in—excellent food, atmosphere, and service. The décor is elegant yet lively, with thoughtful details throughout the interior and music kept soft enough to create an intimate ambiance without requiring you to raise your voice. Our server, John (I believe that was his name), had impeccable manners: attentive when we needed something but never interrupting our conversation. The food and drinks were beautifully executed and full of flavor.
New favorite spot in the city! Really good coffee and pastries if you are just dropping in. Highly recommend checking this place out to get dinner and drinks! Both the food and the cocktails were fantastic.

Food and drinks are fantastic, however, service could've been a little better. Came in on a Sunday afternoon so not sure if it was understaffed. Spent a lot of time waiting to get checked in on so we can either order more food or get more water. Tea also could've been hotter, but it was served lukewarm.
Will be coming back to see if this was an off-day since I did enjoy everything else! Other reviewers say staff are attentive so I'm hoping next time will be better for me.

Midwest and seasonal menu served in a very elegant and romantic atmosphere, mushroom pate was an absolute hit as well as trout! Wine menu has a lot of options from Michigan wineries and cocktail menu is very impressive (shout out to cranberry spritz light, fruity and a touch of sour). The service is great and lots of attention, perfect spot for a dinner date!
