Nigerian Kitchen Restaurant Reviews
I called 30 mins before going in to it even after half their menu items weren’t available and I got there talked to the lady I spoke with on the phone and still had me waiting almost 20mins for food that’s is supposedly ready and they were just on their phone no regards to customer laughing obnoxiously while people were waiting for their orders to be taken or delivery drivers. Real deal Nigerian cuisine and very friendly staff. Recommended.
If I lived in Uptown or nearby, this restaurant would get my dollars all the time. The goat pepper soup was outstanding. the coconut rice with fish in a tomato sauce was also delicious. Service is slow and I am quite okay with that because what came to the table was fresh. So glad I took a chance coming here.

Nigerian Kitchen Restaurant is a locally-owned establishment that offers a taste of authentic Nigerian cuisine. Despite its unassuming interior, the restaurant is known for its delectable menu items, particularly the star dish, the yam porridge. Described as spicy, fresh, and tasty, the yam porridge is a highlight for many customers. The catfish pepper soup is another standout, delicious and perfectly tender, especially great when feeling under the weather. While the egusi soup and stew may not have been as impressive, the overall food quality is praised, especially the flavorful jollof rice and plantains. The food is made to order, so calling ahead is recommended for shorter wait times. The service, though friendly, may not be the restaurant's strongest suit, with some customers experiencing longer waits. Nevertheless, Nigerian Kitchen is a must-try for those seeking a unique and satisfying Nigerian dining experience, offering great value for the money, with layers of flavor in every dish. Vegetarian options are few, but the food remains filling and delicious even after a long ride home.
