Bouncers are outside with hostile energy praying that you give them the slightest problem so they can get in your face and kick you out. They searched my disabled friend’s body without notice and tried to pull his insulin pump off of him thinking it was a weapon.

I don't know if this is a new bar or not, but I stumbled upon it on my way back to my car after lunch at Federales on a Saturday afternoon. We dropped in for a short drink before heading home as the DJ was getting things started. The DJ began playing R&B tunes from the '90s, and at that point I was turnt!! Apparently the music was appealing to passersby, as more and more people began to trickle in to enjoy themselves. The drink was good and the bartender was pretty chilld. Man, let me tell you, the vibe at this joint was off the charts! And can we just take a moment to give a shoutout to the DJ who was absolutely killing it that night? Major kudos! This seems like a decent spot to hang out with friends.

Stumbled across this joint at 1am on a Friday into Saturday, and we stayed til the 2am close time. Live DJ spinning bangers. The dancefloor was a bit packed. Overall, the lounge/club in my opinion is mediocre at most, unfortunately. Maybe a spot to wind down a night? Typical bouncers reminiscent of the Wrigleyville area, trying to make some money with a $40 cover then lowered to $20, but eventually let us in for free since closing was in an hour and we were grabbing drinks and shots.

Security searched my body without notice. The security guard had his hands partially down my pants without warning. I felt uncomfortable, and he acted like I was being dramatic and said he had to search me. I immediately left. It ruined the whole night for me. I will never go back. It was traumatic for me.

Carmen made a difference to us here. She is the only bartender who smiles and has a nice attitude. Don't get me wrong, all the bartenders are attentive but it is all business. Carmen puts some humanity in the place. She is fast server and always checks in to see if we were enjoying ourselves. She also gave good tips on our drinks as well. Definitely I would return just as long as Carmen is working behind the bar

Big black bouncer dude said I couldn’t get in because he saw me drinking a drink outside. I had just come from Federales and was chugging a water in between. I’m embarrassed for him. Bro will let any white people in, but when it comes to minorities he has special rules. I’m so I embarrassed for him. I don’t even want to write this review but I have to. Crabs in a bucket mentality, his co worker was clearly embarrassed too. I don’t even know what to say, I’m so dissapointed. The bar was empty. He’s turning down his own people. Like bro, go home and think about your life. I’m embarrassed for him. The crazy thing is we left the house and made sure we met all expectations for dress codes cause I’m Arab and my fiend is black this dude still denied us. It’s 2023 my guy. Im so sick of this, otherwise I wouldn’t even write this. But I’m genuinely embarrassed on his behalf. Grow up man. It’s 2023. My name is In the review.
