I bought the family dinner. The ribs are tender but there is no smoke ring so either they were baked or grilled and then baked. The chicken was good. The brisket did not have a smoke ring. The shredded pork was definitely baked and very bland.Sided were very good. I had the sweet potatoes and Mac and cheese. Expensive.

Was not open. Sign on door stating closed for an off site event but website listed it as open.
The ribs are truly tender and the mac and cheese is cheesy. The only problem is they don't cook in large quantities. They run out of food way too fast.
They open at 10:30 or 11:00 a.m. and by 2 pm they have no more ribs. I once went at about 3:30-4 p.m. and they were closing. The owner said they were sold out. Now that's sort of a good thing but, if you open at 11 a.m. and closing at 4 p.m. on a regular basis, you not cooking enough food or maybe they've made all the money they want to make so they cook enough to only be open until their desired time.
So, the bottom line is, get there early enough or they're liable to be sold out. It's just disheartening to recommend this place and people call me and say they didn't have any more ribs at 2 p.m. and they've driven 30 mins. to get there to find out they're sold out. Then you try to call and no one answers the phone and the recording comes on and says you have to come in and you still can't even order on line.
Good food but not a reliable restaurant unless you go when they first open or you may be out of luck. But if you get a chance to purchase it, you'll like it. If you're in the area early enough, try it, but don't go out your way.
Parking: The restaurant shares a lot with the other stores in a little store front area

Delicious, but you have to be there early!
Their hours are not exactly the same as posted online. They close once their food runs out, which is pretty soon.
I went there on a Saturday at around 2pm and was told they did not have much food left, which I was surprised with as it was my first time there and they were running out so early!
I was going for the ribs anyway and they still had some left. The things they were mostly out of was the brisket and a lot of the sides.
The meat was super tender and was coming off the bone, which was also very soft meaning outstanding cooking quality! The meat was charred on the outside and tender on the inside, and the sauce was very good as well! I had corn bread and sweet potato and both was excellent!
The decor is nice and has many pictures of September 11 on the walls, of which I'm sure is part of the history of the restaurant.
I will have to go again, but earlier next time as I hear the Mac and Cheese is awesome!
Highly recommended!

Went in around 12 pm on a week day, this place has been on my mind for quite a long time I love bbq and I heard good things about this place but OMG!!!!!!!!! I’m ok with places running out of things, I’ll just try something different but did place literally was out of everything and at this point I’m ok whatever so I ask the owner which was the person taking my order what was left and he went on this rampage! He was rude, arrogant, condescending and giving petty responses to my questions! Literally felt like I was bothering him! I can’t give my hard working money to someone treating their customers like that!! I feel sorry for the people that work for him!
The food here is delish. So much so that I've been there twice and they were sold out for the day. Yum!

Always a good spot for dinner. I love the rib/half chicken meal, comes with a side of your choice (we got mac and cheese) and coleslaw and we like to add the peach cobbler for dessert. The food is awesome, both the ribs and chicken fall off the bone. Gotta get there earlier for the greens cause they're the best. Don't sleep on their peach cobbler either, it's the perfect level of sweet. Between my partner and myself the half rib/half chicken meal with dessert fed us for 3 meals, for $35. Can't beat that. Go support this local business!

The only place in Chicago that I don’t feel like I’m getting robbed on the quality and quantity! Will never go to a different place again. Rib-tips are full and chunky and the ribs are big and juicy. Best in town, real talk! 10 out of 10. My entire family drive near and far to go to this one spot❤️

The place was clean. The food was just the three it could’ve used a little more seasoning. My rib tips were a bit dry. The owner was very nasty to me. Unnecessarily nasty.

I love my bbq. I'll travel an hour any day of the week if it's worth it. Needless to say I came back here 2 days in a row just for more. Brisket is to die for and them beans just hit different.
