Niu is a fantastic choice for anyone looking for an authentic Japanese dining experience in Chicago. Just a short ten minute walk from Navy Pier, it's a convenient spot that exceeded our expectations after choosing it on a whim.

The restaurant has a beautiful ambiance that creates a relaxing and enjoyable dining experience. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and attentive, making us feel well taken care of throughout our visit. The food was absolutely delicious, with fresh ingredients and authentic flavors that truly stood out. Between the excellent food, warm service, and great location, I highly recommend Niu to anyone looking for outstanding Japanese cuisine in Chicago.

Fantastic Japanese Fusion restaurant. We hit it on the way back from Navy Pier. We really appreciated the Pride themed drinks in June and the 'spray glitter' for the Pink Pony.

Absolutely fantastic experience! The sushi was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The ramens were perfectly cooked, and every dish tasted authentic and made with care. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. We'll definitely be back and highly recommend this place to anyone looking for an exceptional dining experience in Chicago.

The food was delicious! Went with my sister & one of my best friends and we’ll definitely be returning. We got seated and got our food fairly quick. Our server Jimmy was very attentive and was excited with us when I was unboxing my labubu lol! Highly recommend!

This place is pretty overpriced for average quality food. I got the teriyaki chicken and two sushi rolls. The sushi was average and way too expensive per roll. We had two seasonal drinks which were $15 each. The drinks were ok. The waiter let me and my date swap to a bigger table and they were very nice to us. That's the only good thing about this place.

Food was okay on my second visit. The kitchen made the Pad Thai too sweet so we requested it be returned. One dish was not brought out and forgotten. Drink took too long to arrive.

Whatever we got otherwise was great tasting. But was a little disappointed this time overall.

Tried only the Red Curry with tofu and no complaints! Would love to visit again and try other things on the menu!
