Popular breakfast spot with good food and ample portions. A bit crowded on a Sunday morning, but we'll woshorthe short wait for a table. Good coffee and plenty of it!!

The meal that I had here likely saved my GD life. I don't drink anymore but if I did, and I had eaten here with a hangover, the overwhelming joy and nourishment from this experience would have brought me to tears. I had an omlette with hashbrowns and pancakes (which is my go-to pretty much everywhere). Everything came out beautiful, the staff and atmosphere were outstanding. It's easy to see why this place is a neighborhood staple: lots of character and history. One of the best dining experiences of my life.

Great classic Chicago breakfast spot...
This is a great place if you are looking for breakfast or brunch outside. Their patio is a nice tree-lined spot between two buildings. It’s very shady and very cool. I really enjoyed hanging out here for brunch.
The food is decent, large portions, and the service is quick for a weekday morning.
It’s a great place if you are in the area, but I wouldn’t go out of my way for it.
The eggs Florentine and the veggie omelet are tasty, but the hash browns leave much to be desired. The hash browns are the consistency of a mashed up baked potato, so I would skip them.
Be careful if you ask for salsa. I requested it, and they brought me two bowls and they charged me $2.50 for each bowl. This is just highway robbery.
Welcoming staff, fast service, good prices for the huge portions and very tasty food. Lots of choices.

Great food. Very popular place, but we only had to wait 20min (Saturday around noon). Would recommend

Delicious food and charming atmosphere! The only downside was how long we had to wait for coffee or our food. We had to wave down a waiter every time we needed something.

This place has a small neighborhood charm with the seating capacity of a chain. The menu is vast and accommodating to all dietary restrictions. Service was fast, like lightning fast, to the point I felt rushed my entire meal (a plus if you're waiting for a table) but this is not the place you go to have a relaxing Sunday brunch. Get in, eat delicious food, then GTFO.

Was dying of starvation while on a walk in the park. Hopped in and got myself some breakfast. Very quick! Would go again!

Yum yum yum. This place is legit. So happy we found it. Gluten free pancakes were delicious with a little cinnamon flavor and the bacon was perfectly crispy. My wife loved her Green Goddess omelette and cappuccino.
I recommend coming here if you are in the area. A++

Such a great family style brunch restaurant! It gets really busy on the weekends but they get through tables pretty quickly. I ordered their seasonal French toast and the portion was large and the food was delicious! I would recommend checking it out!

At Nookies, the staff is so friendly, you'd think they're in a competition to win Best Human Ever awards. They greet you like you’re an old friend, even if you’re just a stranger who stumbled in craving pancakes.
Speaking of pancakes—those fluffy stacks and the rest of the breakfast menu? Pure comfort food bliss. Whether it’s eggs, bacon, or that legendary French toast, it’s like your taste buds are getting a warm hug.
Bottom line: Come for the breakfast, stay for the smiles. It’s like eating in your best friend’s kitchen—if your best friend actually cooked, and wasn’t just heating up leftovers.

Too cold inside (literally freezing), overpriced, and they are not allowing us to eat outside even though we said we are ok with the bees flying around. We just want to eat, what is it so hard to serve and let us sit wherever? They do have seats outside, but not allowing us to sit there??? It's a joke!
