They’re racist :/. I ordered food for pick up and the woman who gave me my order took a picture of me on an IPad. She literally lifted the IPad to face level so I suspected she was taking my photo, and as I turned around to head out, she stated, “don’t move.” I walked out but came back in to speak to her about it because I was pretty pissed. She said she took a picture because I paid with a card. When I asked if she takes a photo of everyone who pays with a card, she went silent, then literally started pretending that she couldn’t understand English well enough to understand what I was speaking to her about. She told me to come back later in the afternoon when the manager returned because she “didn’t understand.” She had no problem understanding nor responding to anything prior to me confronting her about what she had done. Unfortunately, I strongly believe she did this to me because I am a Black woman, and she made the racist assumption that my payment may have been fraudulent. Either way, taking photos of non consenting customers is inappropriate, unprofessional, and unnecessary.

This place has great food and is a great value. A few years ago, it was about the same value as all the other Chinese restaurants. Then, those other restaurants chose to jack their prices up 50%. However, Northern Taste did not fall into that greedy trap. As a result, it now not only has really tasty food, but it is also a great deal. In addition, when things aren't right, they are very apologetic and do what they can to make things right. I definitely recommend you try this place, especially the lunch specials!

Very delicious and they always give generous amount of food! I’ve been coming here over 2 years now and they never seem to disappoint. The dry hot pot here is really good and you can choose from a variety of vegetables and meat. The service is also exceptional!

This is one of the most reasonably priced places you can get a ton of food! If you haven't had soup dumplings before you've got to! The staff is always in a good mood and ready to help! Everything I've had on the menu has been amazing! If you're looking for a simple noodle dish, or something elaborate, this place has everything! On a budget night when you're not interested in cooking but don't want to break the bank, put this on the list!
