A Chicagoan recommended I take the pink line to 18th for this best ever pizza. With crunchy thin crust and an unexpectedly large serving size, it was piping hot and topped with tons of cheese and a generous amounts of sausage and hot honey. Mmmmm!

The horchata was the creamiest ever. The service was kind and helpful and the playlist was straight out of my neighborhood in the 90s. Made for a wonderful meal with lots of memories. Make sure to follow up with a visit to the National Museum of Mexican Art just across the street. Great people, great food, all around fun.

A delightful place! Delicious tavern style pizza. Delightfully thin crust, tasty sauce (just enough sweetness)? And a wide assortment of toppings. The staff are super friendly, which adds so much to the experience. The location is clean with charming decorations.

Pizza Novel Café is the kind of spot that really gets Chicago tavern-style pizza. You can tell it’s run by someone who knows the restaurant pizza industry — the square cut, the crust, the flavors, all on point. They add a little creativity without messing with the true Chicago style, which I love. It feels classic but still fresh. Definitely worth checking out if you’re in Pilsen and want real Chicago pizza done right.

Small busy spot that is so welcoming and friendly. Get a Mexican Coke and sit and wait a few minutes for some of the best tavern style Chicago pizza ever. To top it off get yourself a pastry from Fat Peach and feel terribly guilty , so walk it off in Harrison Park !

Really the vibe. 90s pizza shop from the throwback sign to the bleachers and scoreboard. I had the pan pie and vegan tavern. I will definitely be back when ever I'm in The Chi-City

Great pizza spot, that I'm so happy now serves slices of pizza! I've only had the pepperoni with ricotta and hot honey, which was delicious. Looking forward to going back and trying the other options, and also stopping by one morning to try one of their coffees!

Most of the posts about this place are rightfully about the incredible pizzas, delicious drinks, and great service - and they're right - but I want to shout out Novel and Ryan (one of the owners) for having a wheelchair ramp on deck and helping pizza lovers who use wheelchairs get in and out of their restaurant. It's a portable ramp, and I'm not going to lie, it's a bit steep, but they've only been open a few months and are doing what they can to make their spot more accessible and inclusive for disabled customers <3

Ryan set up the ramp for us and even helped guide my friend's power wheelchair up the ramp (and down when we left). The counter where you order is high, so Ryan and his team came to our table to take our order and make sure we felt as accommodated as possible. They also have a few tables and chairs outside when it's not too cold.

We had a 1/2 cheese and 1/2 longanisa & giardiniera pizza and man oh mannn was it delicious! In a city with so many good pizza spots, this one is a must.

Very expensive but underwhelming pizza and worse service. We ordered the hot pepperoni and longanisa pizzas. For starters, we waited almost TWO HOURS. And by the time we got our pizza, the crust was SOGGY. Literally no crisp to the crust and texture of leather. The sauce was alright, but the hot pepperoni was extremely salty and they had forgotten to put any honey on it. It's insane that these pizzas are almost 40 dollars each when you could get better quality at dominos for 1/4 the price. Also, the inside of the place is so small that only about 2-3 parties can even sit down inside. It's really a shame because we were so excited to try this spot. We advise avoiding this spot if you don't wanna waste a ton of money.
