Old Country AYCE Marketplace

The last ocb in the Chicago area. They "temporarily closed" March 24 due to the virus shut down. The employees were like family, the food was the usual Mac n cheese roast turkey and fried chicken that we've all known since ocb came to town in 1986.The company been thru multiple bankruptcies and corporate buyouts thru the years. The new company website and Facebook page been giving updates from temporarily closed to opening soon and regulars were waiting in anticipation to get in and enjoy the food and friends until they abruptly told the employees in October 2020 that Chicago will not reopen, causing heartbreak disbelief and outrage as other sister locations are open or pending to open. That's unfair! Devastating loss for us, end is an era and we are not happy at all! The company lied to us. We've been waiting for the reopening! They officially erased the Chicago location from the corporate website. Not happy!!!!

Fine location for tasty buffet food. the staff was very sociable and kind. they have so many great reviews for a reason.

That's what happens when certain folks go in and don't pay attention to their kids.

Outstanding place for Buffet food. Got there about three, it wasn't crowded. Definitely worth going back to. This place has a nice design.

One of my favorite locations for quality Buffet food. Service is always awesome even when they have a full house. Service is consistently good.

If you're going to talk smack about this place there used to be one in Rockford and it was abandoned but if I worked here for clean the bathrooms I would make it shine it's true it'll be the world's cleanest bathroom in Old Country Buffet it's hard to find that restaurant but there's only one surviving Chicago

I just suggest the place be remodel. Get it in better shape. Carpet, booths...

This restaurant is doubtless one of the most pleasant place to eat in the neighborhood. Always when I come to this place I am so happy. They keep their very high standard service and the highest level of dishes they provide. You are always happy with this place. Warmly recommended.

I would've of gave it 5 stars since it's the employee are super friendly, very nice & clean everything is good etc but The Old County Buffet doesn't have the same good taste quality like it use to be ...

Food was good. Service not so much. No one came to take our used plates. Plates were cleaned from other tables just not ours. I found that strange.

Food was very tasty and or male wait staff was very attentive. Actually all the staff were very nice and welcoming. I would go back again.

This place is obviously one of the most pleasant restaurants in the region. Anytime I come there I am awfully glad. They keep their very high standard service and the highest level of meals they provide. You surely will enjoy this this restaurant. Very recommended.

One of my go-to places to grab some food. fantastic location, well kept, and fantastic service. Very good job!

Only reason i give a 3 star review is because the staff is very very friendly!
