The service is really excellent and attentive. And this place has great vibes. We came here because it was conveniently located. The chips and salsa are delicious, and so is the guac. The food however resembles nothing like authentic Mexican food (which is not difficult to find in Chicago), but worse, it isn't even good! It's also expensive, which is fine when the food warrants it, which is not this. In summary, come for the ambiance, chips/salsa/guac, drinks, and happy hour.

Food had a great potential, but was luke warm when served. The churros were a let down. There were 7-8 tiny bites that were over cooked. I know it’s difficult to manage a large number of tables during busy hours, but the server came every 20 to 25 minutes. One experience doesn’t define a restaurant, so I would try it again at a less busy time.

The staff was friendly and personable during our brunch. The food was delicious and the portions were big. The drinks came out quickly and the value for the bottomless brunch was fantastic. Can’t wait to return!

Great neighborhood Mexican spot with an unlimited brunch option with Margaritas and fresh made chips with amazing salsa. We came on a Saturday and the place was packed but service was super quick and our server Natalie was amazing.Dec recommended the chorizo cheese crisp and $25 for unlimited Marga is an amazing deal. The breakfast burrito was also absurdly large and could def feed two people. Will be back for brunch a lot this summer as they have outside seating as well.

Great place that we spent some quality time with family. The service was king. We sat outside on a fairly chilly day. The staff went out of their way to move heaters and offered blankets so that we were comfortable. It was an amazing time and the atmosphere was perfect for telling stories with family and enjoying drinks and appetizers. We will definitely be back for dinner. Highly recommend.

This is hands down the best Mexican restaurant in the city of Chicago. The food was incredible and the service was amazing. Angel was our server and he was so attentive and personable. We had the short rib and chorizo cheese crisp to start. We then had tacos (steak, chicken, and el pastor) and the shrimp and steak skewers. Best tacos we've ever had. The El Pastor was so juicy and delicious. The skewers were so amazing. We finished off with the churros which were great as well. Definitely come to Old Pueblo if you're looking for good Mexican food and ask for Angel. He's the best!

LOVE LOVE LOVE this place. The food is great and the staff is amazing. From Managers to servers everyone wants you to have a good time and a great meal. I love getting the A LA Carte tacos. Lets me have a variety. The Tableside Guacamole is a MUST! Not to mention the Esquites. Make a reservation because tables fill up!

Overpriced! On the menu, it appears that the rice and beans are included with the three- taco meal; however, they are not included with the tacos. The beans are not refried beans, and they are not very good. I have a sensitive stomach and the red sauce on the tacos was exceptionally hot. We should've been warned about the spicy red sauce. On a positive note, the wait staff was very friendly and accommodating.

I love old Pueblo! The food is amazing, but what makes this place stand out is the absolute all star service! Every single one of the staff goes above and beyond here. Highly recommend!

Great patio, food, and service! The complementary chips and salsa was great, daily deals (taco Tuesday), and treats for dogs. Highly recommend and will be coming back!

So grateful to the staff for making today special.we came here today for my mother's birthday and they took such amazing care of my family and I. Shout-out to the gentleman in the front who came over to sing happy birthday for my mother and giving her a card that was signed by the staff. I've never had such amazing treatment before and I am forever grateful. On top of that the food was amazing, I always get the blackened mahi mahi and Al pastor tacos from here, my SO has the enchiladas which are fantastic. All in all a perfect experience and I will definitely be spreading the word and coming here more often. Thank you so much again!

My friends and I love this place! It's great for a friday night and they can accommodate bigger groups. I came with a group of 9. The margaritas and tacos are very good, but it is on the $$ side for mexican food.
