The Egusi soup was phenomenal and exquisite! First time trying Nigerian food and it was the best. Because of this restaurant my interest in African cuisine has grown. The service was exceptional and they were even kind enough to teach us how to eat with our hands.

The BEST Nigerean food in Chicago. The egusi and fufu was so fluffy and fresh. Mama Osa is amazing and very welcoming. I've recommended Mama Osas to everyone. If you're looking for great west African food come here! I'm still dreaming about the egusi I had - next time I'll try it with some spice 🌢 can't wait to come back

Highly do not recommend! My food was not fresh at all, and the service wasn’t pleasant. I literally had leftovers and old meat that was super hard to chew. They so called reheated as some of the food was still cold and tasted like food that sat in the fridge without being covered. In addition, the spinach soup was barely filled and there were so many tiny bones inside of it. Never again!

First time here and got the beef Egusi with Amala. It came piping hot, both the Amala and Egusi, but I dug in anyway. Ripping a piece of Amala, roll, and dip. African cuisine is often eaten with your hands, and I like to experience food the way the culture intend it to be. One of the staff was surprised I suggested eating with my hands and asked a bit about me. Guess it's uncommon for non-Africans to eat like Africans here haha

I emptied the bowl and plate, cleaned leftover stew with what's left of my Amala. It was that good. There are other options I should try, and I'll definitely be back to try their other items. Maybe next time I'll take a picture to share

Very bad customer service. This is the third time they’re canceling my Grubhub order without an explanation. Won’t be ordering from them again.

Very dirty here! Before the guy came to the register I Peeped The register area was looking like someone’s messy bathroom, stuff everywhere??‍♀️ He finally came I asked him for a small jollof rice(he said it was $10 I swear he was overcharging me?) and asked me did I want it cold or hot(of course I want it hot, smh) So he went inside the kitchen and put the rice inside a empty Country crock butter container but before that I seen him look at me in the corner of his eye because it was something in it and proceeded to flick it on the floor and put the rice in it? that was my cue to get up out of there??‍♀️? all the customers he had sitting down eating seem like they were his family or something….
