Dark Matter never fails to impress me, especially at this particular location. I really appreciate that they stay open late, which is perfect for someone like me who enjoys a good coffee at unconventional hours. The consistency of their drinks is unmatched—a rare find for a coffee connoisseur like myself, as other places often disappoint in that regard. The staff here are incredibly friendly and welcoming, and their prices are very reasonable, especially considering the quality they deliver. If you’re looking for recommendations, my go-to specialty drink is the Iced Agave Latte—it’s absolutely phenomenal, and I can’t recommend it enough! You have to try it for yourself. Don’t forget to grab a loyalty punch card when you order! Just another perk of Dark Matter.

Great atmosphere, nice hot chocolate/mocha type drinks and excellent pastries. Wonderful friendly staff. Open late and there are often outlets that are available. I’ve been here multiple times and the vibe is always excellent.

The WiFi never works properly though; otherwise I’d be here all the time!

I couldn't help but to give this place all perfect stars.
The gentleman at the cashier has a very kind and of aura and the barista person is wonderful at his craft.
The herb and goat cheese and herb croissant tasted wonderfully even with my simple latte. (My sister had tea and she loved the rich earthy and naturally sweet flavors)
The music is just as comfortable like a light-hearted festivities. I love sitting at the bar, which is for certain one of the most comfortable I found in any coffee shop. And the mural has such a beautiful balance of cool colors with the right amount of drama from the uneasy red.
I highly recommend stopping in even for a simple coffee break from exploring Chicago.

Great study place and had several good experiences staying there. Good coffee. However, the wifi always doesn't work make us very annoying and hesitating to go… How can I let the owner know to get the internet fixed?
