“Tonight I got Aloo palak, veggie samosa, garlic naan and mango lassi! The Aloo palak was exactly what I needed for tonight 🫶🏼 I ate everything and forgot to take photos but wow!
The food is always great! I’m never afraid to ask questions because I know everyone is very helpful. I always take it to go. I can’t wait to dine in soon.“

“The mutton paya was absolutely delicious. The gravy was rich and flavorful and the bowl came with plenty of good meaty pieces. The meat itself was incredibly tender, almost falling off the bone, which made every bite deeply satisfying. You can really tell it was slow cooked with care and skill. For such good paya, Al Halal Zaiqa Restaurant will always be my go to choice.“

“I recently contacted Khan BBQ Restaurant to enquire about their food, and I’m glad to share that I confirmed they are Zabiha Halal certified. They assured me that all their meat is sourced from verified halal suppliers, and they take proper care in food preparation according to halal standards. It’s great to see a restaurant maintaining both good taste and authenticity!“

“Stopped by Hot N' Spicy Chicago on Devon Ave for a late-night bite and was impressed. Grabbed the Chicken Chutney Roll—tender chicken wrapped in a soft paratha with a tangy chutney kick. Also tried the Masala Fries, which were crispy and packed with flavor. The staff was friendly, and the place had a cozy vibe. If you're in the area and craving a flavorful halal meal, this spot is worth checking out. Definitely coming back to try more of their menu.“

“I have been going to this restaurant for about 10 years. I always order the same thing, Dahl Channa. But recently I've tried the lamb and potatoes with a side of white rice and just two days ago I tried the spinach and potatoes with a side of rice. Both dishes were extraordinary. In wished I'd tried them long before then. Both were delicious and I felt prepared in a healthy mannner.“

“Absolutely amazing taste! I tried the rumali chicken shawarma and mutton biryani, and honestly, it felt like I was back in Hyderabad. The flavors were spot on, rich, and authentic—especially the biryani, which was perfectly cooked and full of aroma. It’s rare to find this level of desi taste in Chicago, but Al Kabeer nailed it. If you’re craving real Hyderabadi-style food, this place is a must-visit. Definitely coming back again!“

“Authentic taste, great portioning, clean, and simple. I had tasted such good Desi food only back home on grand occasions like weddings etc. This guy is simply magical. I tried Tala gosht, allo Qeema, and Aaloo Palak.... everything was awesome. And he has a good list of vegi choices too. Definitely going back.“

“Stopped by Tahoora for breakfast—spent about $12 on halwa puri with aloo and chole. The puris were crispy and golden, and the halwa had that perfect sweetness. The aloo and chole were flavorful, though I would've liked a bit more spice. The place was bustling, but the staff was friendly. It's a solid spot for a traditional Indian breakfast. Just be aware that they don't serve halwa puri every day, so it's best to check ahead.“

“Large, generous dishes. Really flavorful food. We tried lagan chicken, achari chicken, and potato samosas. All exceeded expectations and were really good! I will note they had limited menu items, and some things on the menu we wanted to try were not available.“

“They were not lying about the portions. I got through about 1/3 of the chicken biryani and had to save the rest for later. That said, for the portion and the price it was pretty good quality food. I don’t think there were levels to the spice, which I like it hot anyways, but just a heads up there. I’ll have to come back and try a few other items.“

“I had a nice time here. The service is quite exceptional and they’re all extremely friendly. I really like this older gentleman who provides water in the beginning and helps to clean tables; he’s not fluent in English but definitely tries and is immensely kind.
Their naan is on the chewier side which I like; it is slightly oily which I didn’t mind. Their “rolls” are like burritos (huge!) and very tasty— would recommend! I also had their chicken masala which comes as shredded chicken, which was new and interesting, I liked it! Their main dishes do not come with rice so you do have to buy it as extra.
The restaurant really stands out for its service and I’d definitely come back.“

“Rolled into House of Biryani for lunch on a Wednesday—grabbed the Chicken Biryani special and a Haleem to sip. Biryani was packed with flavor and the Haleem was rich and warming, just hit the spot. Staff were super friendly and chill. Kitchen kept pace, no major wait. Cozy Devon Street gem. Can’t wait to come back for their Friday buffet!“
