I thought the price per portion was the strongest I've seen in the city.

The rice was very fresh and extremely flavorful. The chicken was so tender and the sauces were on point. Plantains were huge value and quality

Vegetarian options: At worst, things would be cooked in flavorful oils, but almost all the dishes are plant based with options to add proteins....
Bankou tasted weird and too much baking soda in the soup. Also turkey tails is not turkey tail is actually turkey neck.
I don’t live in Chicago we were traveling when I ordered the food and the man was complaining about the late pick up.
Big portions of food but I’m not a big fan but you can enjoy it if you don’t know how to cook African food.
Overall Thoughts: This is a small, homey family restaurant serving up traditional, delicious Ghanaian dishes. There was only one other party there when we came for dinner on a Sunday. My only suggestions are around the menu… it’s pretty hard to navigate if you have no prior knowledge of or experience trying Ghanaian cuisine, as there are no descriptions or even prices on the menu. It would’ve definitely been helpful to know the prices before ordering, but the prices seemed...
