The Patio was my childhood favorite, hands down. It’s such a shame to see it closed because I honestly loved it even more than Al’s Beef. Their gravy bread was unbeatable, and their fries were so good that they were the only fries I’d eat with ketchup—even though I normally can’t stand ketchup. Truly a Chicago classic that will be missed.
Just a heads up, there's a building permit and the entite interior has been gutted. A worker inside said they were fixing fire damage from 'a while ago'. He didn't know what was next for the space
