I wanted to treat myself after a tough work week. This restaurant's delicious food came to mind. I ate the jumbo sea scallops. So so good. My waitress was friendly. Another staff member also asked if I had any questions or needed anything. Their service was on point. Nice bar design and decor. You can't go wrong if you choose to visit Pescadero.

We had amazing brunch here! I am very picky with fries and hollandaise sauce, but this place was awesome. Fries are freshly cooked, soft; sauce had great flavour, it was fresh, didn’t taste like lemon juice or vinegar. The French toast was delish, something newPrices are great for the level of service and food freshness

Knowledgeable and attentive staff and manager. Good value. Menu includes land proteins for your non fish and seafood friends. I wouldn't tell anyone to go across town for them but definitely a great option if you're in the neighborhood for theater or the Catcade.

Wonderful service and great selection of plates. My party and I ordered various plates from the brunch menu and two dozen oysters. We also ordered two medium sized carafe of peach mimosas. Overall, very tasty and the portions were a great size. Too bad the day was rainy because the outside seating looked beautiful. The inside was very pretty and clean as well. Highly recommend for a seafood brunch before hitting the lake or a pool day.

The food was good but I've had the same exact thing for half the price. It was a cute place but rather on the casual side for the price. I was a bar tender for years but the server insisted it would be wrong if I altered the specialty drinks so I had an extremely sour margarita. And my biggest pet peeve; we were left hanging at the end with no check or server in sight and when he did appear he went first to a table of 12 or so to take their order. Two entries, two drinks and an appetizer for over $200 bucks. We did get a free dessert for being abandoned. Not quite worth it. Best thing about the place was the diversity of the clientele. It was like the United Nations in there. Very cool.

Brunch is soooooo good.It is so much better as it seems to be on the healthy side (not on the over fried / oily / buttery side). My favorites are the lobster eggs and the poached eggs. I love it so much that I started recreating them at home and adding them to my list of signifier dishes. You’ll see me there again!!

Went for brunch. I love how they've updated the space since taking over from Fahlstrom's. Incredible food. Got free mimosas with our entrees. Great smokey, grilled flavor on the fish tacos. Bloody Mary was huge and came with shrimp. Highly recommend!

We tried Pescadero on a friend's recommendation for Valentine's Day weekend. I was sad to tell my friend what a disappointing experience it was. Reading through a few other reviews I should have known what we were in store for. TL;DR We will not be back. Why bother going out and spending your money at a business just to leave disappointed, hungry, and sick?We started with cocktails, crab cakes, and the shaved brussel salad. I hope you like your old fashions extremely sweet, one was all I could stomach. The crab cakes were small and flavorless; the same that you'd get at Jewel, just 4x more expensive. The shaved brussel salad should have been called an arugula salad, because we failed to find more than a few brussel sprout leaves. Next, we moved on to shrimp cocktail and oysters. The oysters were dropped at our table by a food runner with no explanation as to what's what on the plate. They tasted fine, comparable to what you'd find in any other restaurant. I suppose that's what was disappointing, there was nothing special about these tiny overpriced oysters. A few weren't shucked properly so we got to have that experience with our meal. The shrimp cocktail was overcooked and rubbery. The entrees were the worst part of the meal unfortunately. We ordered scallops with risotto, and seared ahi tuna. The scallops were ok, and of the four that came with the meal we had two normal sized ones and two tiny ones. The risotto was not good. It was the consistency of wallpaper paste, and totally flavorless. There's no way that risotto was made fresh to order, it tasted like it was cooked earlier in the week and scooped out of a tub. The ahi tuna entree was just a few slices of seared tuna with a pile of wasabi and ginger. I was expecting something much more put together, not a lazy attempt at deconstructed sushi. For some reason it was paired with garlic mashed potatoes. These "potatoes" were in a perfect ice cream scoop shape, and moved as one solid brick. They tasted stale with a rough consistency. Again, no way they were made fresh that day, tasted like it was leftovers from earlier in the week. I ate a few bites and pushed the rest aside.Beyond the mediocre food the service was overall absent. Our server was only there in the beginning of the meal to take our order. After our order was in we only saw food runners and bus boys. The food came out in such quick succession we barely had time to finish what was in front of us. Maybe just bad pacing from the kitchen. Why the rush when half the tables in the restaurant were empty? The host came by to check on us towards the end and we had to break the unfortunate news of what a disappointing service we had. She offered to fire up something else, but both she and the server were overall dismissive of our opinions. They ultimately took $15 off our tab, which is better than nothing, but the damage was already done.We paid $200 for me to leave hungry. Even worse, about an hour after dinner my wife became sick which presented very suspiciously like food born illness. Extremely disappointed in our experience, especially because our friend raved about it. Upon further chatting he told us his second visit to Pescadero was also lacking, and they went for lunch service rather than dinner. Seems like neither service is worth it. My aim isn't to trash this restaurant, but hopefully someone in management will read this and learn from my experiences. Maybe they recently had some turnover in the kitchen, because what they put out last night was far away from what we were expecting. They could do better to coach the rest of the staff on pacing and service too. I'm not pretending to be a Michelin star restaurant critic, but for the same price you could go to Dirk's on Clybourn and get the most amazing seafood dinner to cook yourself at home.

My family and I had the most amazing experience at this restaurant. The customer service was unmatched. We came with our 2 children under 2 and we were cared for the second we came through the door. On top of that, the food was great. We had the oysters, lobster roll, fish tacos, and wedge salad, as well as some tasty cocktails. They don't skimp on the alcohol. Lol. We were satisfied with our food. We will definitely be coming back to this restaurant and bringing friends with us. I am excited to see the growth for this place. They are relatively new to this location, but what they have going on is promising. I'm excited for them. ❤

First time trying Pescadero and we were impressed. Excellent Bloody Mary, clam chowder, spinach salad, and fish & chips. We’ll definitely be back.

We had a great time at dinner on a Wednesday night with a party of four people. Love the updated and fancier atmosphere while still maintaining a fish market! From the drinks, Wilmette Beach Negroni and Sunset Trawler, to the apps, Lobster Sliders, Oysters, Jumbo Shrimp Cocktail, to the mains, Seared Ahi Tuna, Alaskan Halibut, Creole Seafood Gumbo to the side of Brussels Chips, and even desserts, Pumpkin Cheesecake and Brownie with Ice Cream, everything was well prepared and delicious. Our server was very helpful in choosing the oysters and also suggesting the Brussels Chips for the table. All the seafood was fresh and well prepared. The gumbo was rich with at least four different seafoods. Look forward to our next trip to try other menu items as well.

Terrible. So unprofessional. My impossible burger was sent in for it been cold ones, and then got it back with a sticker on it. Messed up our orders. Mac & Cheese tasted like ham for some reason. Flies around. Dont come here unless you want a foodborn illness.
