Fantastic experience. The specials on tues/Thursday are really worth it ($28). Flavorful chicken, fantastic salsa, warm tortillas, delicious rice and beans. On top of all of that, very affordable (cash only) and super friendly staff. One of the best places to eat in Chicago.

I had high hopes for Pollo Express, but my experience was a bit of a mixed bag. I stopped by for lunch and ordered the half chicken combo with rice and beans. The chicken was flavorful and juicy, but the rice was a bit too starchy for my liking. The beans were decent, and the tortillas were fresh. The staff was friendly, but the service was a bit slow. For around $14, it was a decent meal, but not sure if I'd rush back.
