Loved this location, unfortunately it's closed now.
When I tell you Louis at the 520 North Michigan Ave location is a whole superhero who saved the day! Give the man his cape. We had another vendor cancel an order for our bridal party at 10:00am for an 11am delivery time! I called Potbelly and Louis swooped in to fix the disaster! Whipped up two specialty platters in less than 30 minutes! Give this location all your business, and Louis....you’re my hero!
A great place to eat while visiting the Art Institute. Three of us had lunch here and ordered various salads. They were all great. It was a bit crowded for COVID times.
I ordered through the app and when I came at the time it told me my food would be ready, the guy working there was incredibly rude and disrespectful towards me. He said “ay n word we closed” and i asked for my food or a refund it wasn’t that serious. So he got the manager involved and she was great and very helpful but the guy kept staring me down and rolling his eyes and then started “singing” curse words towards me including the F word. I will no longer support potbelly’s and I am upset I was called a homophobic slur during pride month. Absolutely disgusting behavior.
My family and I came from MN and wanted to eat at POTBELLY because we love their shakes and malts. I walked up to the store and couldn’t figure out where the line started or stopped, so I asked the girl working where the line started. She rudely said, “we’re closed,” with an attitude. There were other customers in the store and the employees were still working. I work in food retail and that attitude would never be tolerated in my store. I am very disappointed and we eat at Potbelly often at home.
Great place to get a sandwich!
Great service here too...
Normally I wouldn't write a review for a chain, but this spot was one of the better chain sandwich shops I've found, with great customer service, quick food prep, and has a pretty cool sitting area.
Worst experience ever! Rude employees we had to keep repeating ourselves on what we wanted on our sandwichs but the employee kept saying she understood but asked the question again and when corrected she would snap with the Worst attitude and then the other employee told us we needed to mention each ingredient tho we said we wanted everything on the sandwich but oil!! How complicated is that. Top that with they were out of all bread sizes and kind except one size and one kind period. And at check out lady insisted to completely humiliate us b thg acting like our card transaction was denied and insisted it was our card and I'm positive it's not!!! Worst experience ever on every level. Too bad I had to give a one star for place located in the heart of a great place to shop.
Decent food. Great and affordable malts.

Delicious
Pretty good
Good sandwich! The sandwich Tech that made my sandwich took his time. He wrapped it really snug so that all the extras didn't fall out of the sandwich. Friendly service and toasted nicely. Quiet place to relax and eat off the beaten path of Michigan Avenue. It's on 4th floor right before you enter Nordstrom. You're GPS gets a little tricky in the building. Escalators are right immediately before the Nordstrom
Entrance.
I had a tuna sub and it was grea. The ingredients are all fresh and tasty.
