I organized a corporate outing for my colleagues at the historic Palmer House. I chose Potter's for a more casual yet upscale feel. Our experience was outstanding and extremely well-organized. I have to give credit to Jay, the Director of Outlets. I was blown away by his level of professionalism and genuine care. If you are looking for an intimate corporate outing, look no further. This is your spot.

Went last night and it’s truly a hidden gem. The prohibition style ambiance and cocktails are so fun! Loved that mushroom flatbread. Get the black Manhattan and peacock for cocktails! Ask for the secret menu- maybe you’ll get it ;-)

Anis (the bartender) had amazing customer service. His attention to detail and craftsmanship of cocktails is unmatched. Hands down the best old-fashioned I've had.

Potter’s Bar is a legit spot if you’re looking for a good time and a retro vibe. The cocktails are on point—got myself a classic Old Fashioned, and it did not disappoint. I also tried one of their Chicago-themed burgers (the Windy City Burger), and it was killer! Juicy, perfectly cooked, with all the right toppings. The boozy milkshakes are a game changer, too—definitely worth a try if you're in the mood to get fancy with your drinks. Ended up dropping around $25 for a drink, burger, and shake, which was totally worth it for the quality and experience. Perfect spot to grab a drink after a long day or to celebrate something special!

The advertised hours are either wrong or this place is out of business. It was closed at 9:30pm on a Friday night (and not for a private event as it was locked but empty).

Could have been great but lost some speakeasy appeal when there are children in the bar. The drinks were ok, pricey - the old-fashioned was recommended. The waitress lost interest in us, maybe because we only ordered cocktails it seemed, until it was time for us to sign the bill. Beware of the automatic surcharge.

Didn't try any food. Don't let the name fool you there is a very select menu here at this establishment. They rebranded a couple months ago and don't really have a menu of food. Definitely more of a speak easy now. Cocktails were ok for the price

Atmosphere and music is really great, very speakeasy. Drinks and service were just average in my opinion. Had the Paloma and the Lemon Drop.

They didn't have anything from the menu we saw online. No burgers. No milkshakes. Just a few app food items. Service was not friendly. Their old fashioned was amazing.

Nice cozy spot. However the food and menu online is extremely different from what they serve. I went and left out because it was misleading.

THIS IS NOT THE CHICAGO BURGER BAR! We were told Potter's Chicago Burger Bar no longer exists and they are rebranding to more of a "Prohibition-Type Speakeasy" which is very cool, but not when you are expecting a burger and milkshake joint. Especially when CURRENT hotel advertising still shows a burger and milkshake. We were very disappointed, just hope this review helps someone else.

TERRIFIC SERVICE AND ACCOMODATIONS BY THE MANAGER! They went out of their way to let us celebrate my daughter's birthday there. I arrived a little early and decorated with balloons and banners. The manager had set aside a small area for us to use, which was an exception to their policy. It made for a lovely experience and fun time. Thank you to the manager and staff at Potters Chicago Burger Bar for going above and beyond!

First time I've ever been disappointed at a burger joint...$15 for just literally a burger..no side if anything. From the moment we walked up and got greeted by the less than enthusiastic hostess, I should have known. Once we sat down, we got seated next to the kitchen doors, so ambiance was exactly as you'd expect sitting next to the kitchen. Service? What service, we got our food order in and never saw ouelr waiter again until I had to ask for the check. What a sad restaurant to be placed in such a beautiful hotel such as the Palmer House.
