Very disappointed with our dining experience at Prosecco, which is unfortunate because we truly wanted to love it. The food was very basic and underwhelming. Our waiter got our order wrong twice and even brought a dish we specifically said we could not have due to dietary restrictions. I’m not sure where the confusion came from, but it still happened. The manager did remove the item from the bill, but that wasn’t really the issue.
The service overall was very poor. It took about 10 minutes just to get our waiter’s attention, and he never checked on us at any point during the meal. Sadly, I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant.

Many restaurants are more well known but of all of the meals I have had while visiting Chicago this week, the one at Prosecco was the best. We had the branzino and the scallop dish. Both were outstanding. The branzino was so delicate but accompanied with olives, capers etc - a perfect balance. The scallops were in a rich beurre blanc sauce with perfectly cooked French green beans. Sharing those 2 dishes made a perfect meal.

Awesome menu, good bar options, excellent food, and generous portions. Price was exceptionally reasonable given we were in the city. Can't wait to go back. Nice ambience. Can get a little loud but not a deterrent. Great for a nice intimate dinner or nice evening out with friends. Can't wait to go back.

Disappointing is the nicest term I can use. Our server was rude and it took multiple attempts to get his attention. There were eight different individuals that were sat well after us and received their food before we did. It took an hour for our food to be delivered. The atmosphere was good though. And the food was solid

The female manager here was the most unprofessional i’ve ever seen. We waited 2 hours for our food, with almost nobody in the restaurant. Our poor server felt so bad and did the best she could, but when I asked for the manager, all hell broke loose. She got incredibly rude and blamed us for the wait. When I asked for a little compensation, like a drink, she laughed at me. I paid our server a cash tip and left to cuss words from the female manager. I wish I got her name.

We sat down and waited for water to be brought over for close to 5 minutes. Then the waiter finally came. We wanted to put in an appetizer and salad then decide how much more we wanted to order. The waiter said, "Chef wants the full order all at once." We asked for him to give us a few minutes and said we were not drinking alcohol when he asked before he left. After 15 more minutes of him not coming back (walked past our table SEVERAL times and waiting on adjacent tables), we left never having ordered anything. I am really disappointed by the service and would never ever go back. There are way too many other great Italian restaurants in Chicago with great service (Nonnina, Acanto, etc.) to waste your time on this place. Please note: I only rated the food as one star because I couldn't rate it as nothing. However, I have no idea how good the food is or isn't.
Wonderful restaurant with amazing food and ambience. Every time I'm in Chicago, it's a must on my places to go. You will not be disappointed.
