“If you’re looking for cozy vibes, killer food, and a board game collection that could humble even the most confident strategist, this café is your new happy place. The real MVP? Matt, our waitress, who somehow juggled food orders, game rule explanations, and emotional support like a seasoned dungeon master. She’s basically the Gandalf of good service. The food was shockingly excellent. The grilled cheese healed us. The fries may have unlocked a new level of consciousness. Come for the games, stay for the food, worship Matt. Would trade all my victory points to come back!“

“Food is amazing. Im from ny looking for good puerto rican food and i found it. Alcapurias delicious, pollo guisado delicious. Rice was soft not hard. Only reason I gave it 3 stars on atmosphere is the location. But me personally ill go there any day of the week and twice on Sundays lol“

“I had the steak jibarito and WOW. The plantain was soft on the inside, crispy and golden on the outside, exactly how it should be. The steak was tender and that garlic sauce just made it.
The alcapurria was also delicious and perfectly crispy.
Plus, my food was ready in about 7 minutes. Definitely a hit!“

“This place is SO delicious, those true authentic Puerto Rican flavors burst on your pallet the second you consume it. Being a Humboldt park native for over 30 years I can honestly, truly say this is one of the top Puerto Rican restaurants this city has to offer. This restaurant has some of the best consistent customer service I’ve come across and that says a lot coming from me, I absolutely despise rude customer service and will let it be known. But I will also shed light & commend a hard working team and business & they are it, they even help their community by giving back. I called in once to order a soup for my mother who was sick and when I went to pay for it the owner said; “this is for your mother, she’s sick right? Don’t even worry about it, it’s on us today” Such pure hearts. And THATS the impact this place and their service has, that I’m still talking about the good deed they have done for me awhile ago. Please if you are looking for great food & wonderful people do not hesitate to visit la bomba.“
