This place is freaking AMAZING. I was bummed out when he closed his location on Pershing because that was the closest location to me but these quesabirrias are DELICIOUS and the owner is cool af. I recommend to anybody and everybody.

Loved everything about our experience. Staff was engaging and friendly. The food was out of this world, melt in your mouth, amazing. We’ve tried Quesabirria at other places but none have come close to duplicating what this place offers. Tacos were stuffed fully! They didn’t cheap out on ingredients. And the shells were crispy. No sogginess at all with all that cheesy goodness. Plus we tried the chicken and shrimp Quesabirria. Amazing. Love that there’s options and love that they tasted so good. We will definitely be back.

Quesabirria Jalisco is an amazing taco birria place in Chicago! ??? The birria tacos are juicy and flavorful, with tender meat and a perfect balance of spices. The tortillas are soft but crispy and the cheese is melted to perfection. The service is friendly and the atmosphere is cozy. Not only is the atmosphere the perfect mix of Mexico and hometown Chicago. The food is absolutely scrumptious. Their secret recipe is like no other you’ve had before.For those Chicagoans who were blessed enough to have U.B. dogs on Franklin before they closed down. Imagine the Mexican version from the friendliness to the life changing food and everything in between.Not everyone deserves praise or hopes that they have immense success until the end of time. This is one of those places that deserves it.Tacos are generally $5 per taco with a minimum of 4 tacos. The Horchata is to die for. They even have Birria Ramen if you don’t want as spicy of a taco (even though they’re not really spicy anyways). The rice bowl is the perfect mixture of birria and rice. And call me crazy but I like to add the rice bowl into my taco by the spoonful and it makes it that much better. And the sauces… oh my the sauces. The green one packs a punch and gets you sweating. The orangish (not entirely sure the color but the other one) ties the entire taco together in a way I can’t describe.
