I’m shocked this place has a 4.8. The good: karaage appetizer was tasty, and the drinks are good. The bad: this is a ramen spot, and the most important component of ramen is the broth. The tonkotsu had the consistency of thin chicken soup, there was absolutely no mouthfeel, and it was severely under-seasoned. The chashu was tough and dry. Highly disappointed; there are so many other great ramen spots in the area, if you want the good stuff I’d steer clear of here.

Took a while for our food to come out and when it did the temperature of the ramen felt like it was sitting out for a while.
I love the food, love the vibe but can someone please tell me why the host is so aggressive and rude? Tried to message and call we were going to be a bit late to our reservation because of an accident on the road. She said she couldn't guarantee a seat, which is completely fine and understandable for a Saturday night in Chicago. However when you're 8 minutes away it's rude to give away the table. NOT only that when we arrived there was open seating & booths galore! After she certainly made us feel like a burden for even bothering to courteously call. We were sat immediately and she was visibly disappointed in this. Food made it worth it but definitely made the river north location my preferred.
Ramen Flavors could improve and service more focused but all in all was good also chicken could be juicier when not in ramen was slightly dry without dipping sauce
Reallllllly wished our server would've checked in more frequently. We would have eaten more and ordered more drinks.
Great food and ambience, and amazing music! My 4th time visiting, have always enjoyed my time there.

The food was excellent and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The prices were reasonable as well. Definitely recommend.
We've been wanting to try Ramen San for a while. It did not disappoint! The food was fantastic; the servers were friendly and attentive. We will definitely be going back!
I had the spicy miso ramen and the fried chicken bun, both were great! I would come back for sure
Staff is super young - they seemed to be short staffed though. Sweet server, yummy drinks & food! Affordable too!! The karagge had a kick but is extra yummy! Brussels were bomb too!
This is my absolute favorite place to go for lunch in the Fulton Market area. Highly recommend!
