Randolph Tavern is excellent! The food is good and the drinks are great. It is a HUGE bar for the Loop. I went there on a random Tuesday after work. There were people there but it wasn't packed. My friends and I could have a conversation without struggling to hear each other. Highly recommend for an after work hangout!

I was a bit apprehensive because of the recent poor reviews.
I had the panini and fries. My companion had a wrap and fries and ice tea. Service was quick and attentive. Food was tasty and hot. Bar food. Very good but not awe inspiring.
$55 including tax and a tip of about 16% or 17%.

I ended up at Randolph Tavern on a weekend evening and it had that classic Chicago sports bar vibe, but with a slightly more polished feel. The rooftop is definitely the highlight, especially when the weather’s good—it’s lively without feeling chaotic, and you can actually enjoy your drink without shouting. Inside, it’s energetic, full of TVs and people catching a game, but still comfortable enough to hang out for a few hours. I ordered a burger and a beer, nothing complicated, and it came out solid and satisfying. The drinks were strong, the staff moved quickly even when it got busy, and the whole place felt easy and unpretentious. It’s the kind of spot you go to when you want good food, cold drinks, and a social atmosphere that doesn’t try too hard.

Very dry and tough ribs. Ok fries. The coleslaw has zero flavor.

Every time we go to a matinee show, we stop here for lunch before the show. Friendly and quick service always gets out in time for the curtain.

I really love this place, but honestly the service and the issues with the orders not being correct is really getting to be a point where I'm not going to go here anymore. The last several times I have gone I've had to hunt down my waiter to either get another drink or get my bill. Today I tried to give him another shot and I specifically ordered my food without onions and it was brought to me with onions. Of course my server didn't come back for at least 20 minutes after our food was delivered. So by the time he came back I had to send my food back and go without lunch to go back to work. Unfortunately it just doesn't seem like this restaurant cares too much about customer service. The busboys are probably way more helpful and on top of their game than the servers are. They've got great food when they actually manage to get it right. So take your chances if you feel like it

Our server Coz was excellent. The food was inedible. I ordered a ribeye sandwich on a hoagie bun it came out unsliced on a bun that was more of a hot dog bun than a hoagie. More than half of my steak was fat and the other half I couldn't cut due to the grizzle and tendons running through it. When I told the server he offered me something else and I ordered the crab salad. It too was not good. The lettuce was cut up so small it was like confetti and it was definitely not fresh. And sprinkled on top was a small amount of canned, dried crab meat. My bill with a Coke was $34 and I left their starving

Good food and portions, absolutely awful service. Had to chase down the server multiple times because she’d say she’d be right back and then disappear for 20 minutes.

Definitely going back. Loved it
This is a great spot to grab drinks and/or food before or after seeing a show at the Cadillac Theater, which is right across the street.
We stopped here for pre-show drinks and service was friendly and quick.

Fast service bland food. French fries were the only thing good. Order the ribs and had no taste and cover in barbecue sauce to cover the blandness. My son was not asked how he wanted his steak. Won't return ever.

I attend frequently after a downtown Chicago play. This time was an office gathering. They do not dossapoint. Their staff must be the happiest in Chicago! What a great place and experience.

First sat down at bar. Bartender greeted me then disappeared. 20 mins later I left never being waited on! Large bar but only 6 people sitting there and 4 had their drinks and food. Clearly they need more help.....
