Nice atmosphere, service was mediocre for us. Seemed as though others were better tended to. The food was good, but expected better for the price.

The service was horrible - our server was fine at first, but then became extremely rude. The food came out cool, which was very disappointing. I would not recommend coming here. We were very disappointed as a few friends recommended it.

Eddie is a fantastic server. He recommended menu items according to preferences, provided efficient, attentive, and friendly service. The food is very good. The crab cake was delicious and .Tuna No.8 was very good albeit heavy on the soy. I was told the chicken is delicious. They also provide reasonably priced options for Michigan Avenue. I will definitely return & request Eddie's section if available!

New simple salad with a slice of cornbread and a small piece of salmon on top was excellent. My husband had and loved the roast beef au jus sandwich. Our service was very good, although when I provided my phone number for the 4 Star Rewards program, he didn't check to see if I was due any reward. That should be standard procedure for the waiters. Their pricing has gone up in the past few months - we come to Remingtons a few times a year typically. They also charge a 3.5% service charge. Consequently, the value of going there has diminished for us.

We got stuck in the Tree lighting crowds in Chicago. Remington NEVER alerted us that entrance to the restaurant was limited to one street from the south. I was concerned we would not be able to fight through the crowd. I called the Remington's about 20 minutes before the reservation time. I was told by (Madeleine?) that they would hold the reservation for 15 minutes after the reservation time but cancel after that time if we did not show up! Nice. My burger was ordered medium rare, arrived well done. We were graciously given a free desert.

Our steaks were perfectly cooked, and our cocktails were expertly crafted. The brussel sprouts were the star of the show, and we were able to enjoy a relaxing pre-theater dinner/

I was really disappointed in your web site and the waitress. We thought we were coming for happy hour after a play. We assumed it would only be valid in the bar area which is not unusual. Since we were coming in for a full meal we wanted to sit at a table but we had no problem with the bar area. Unfortunately in order to benefit from happy hour you need to be sitting in a bar stool. I would think you were discouraging people from ordering dinner. The waitress seemed very put off that we even asked the question about happy hour. Your web site needs to be updated regarding happy hour.

Delicious filet mignon. Excellent, friendly service Really appreciated the quiet but lively atmosphere. It was nice to be in a restaurant that was quiet enough to have a conversation without yelling across the table.

The food came out quickly and was very good. The server was a little slow on refilling drinks but otherwise a great experience.

Sundays must be a slow day for Remington in afternoon. We arrived at 4pm and could not have a booth because the staff for that section would not be in for another 1-1/2 hr, BUMMER. The waiter was very accomodating! The fact that they charge an extra 3.50% (some Chicago tax) can be a turn off from dining there. I paid an extra $2.17 this Chicago tax, for what plus tax and tip. If that's not stated on the menu I believe it should be, it could be the difference in dining there or somewhere else.

Be sure to ask for JP when making your reservation!! We booked our reservation online just a little earlier that evening and were fortunate to get the time we wanted (when we arrived, walk-in's were told that the wait would be 30-40 minutes). When booking, we noted that we were in the district for a show and had about an hour and 15 for dinner. The service was OUTSTANDING, from the host stand to the bussing staff. Our server, JP, was super attentive and cognizant of our theater time...and somehow managed to get us through drinks, dinner, and dessert in an hour without anything feeling rushed. He made some great recommendations (crispy brussels) and when my filet came out a little undercooked, he got it sorted out immediately. That's the only reason that I didn't give 5 stars for the food, everything else was delicious. Highly recommend...especially if you want great food in an upscale atmosphere without feeling the need to get super dressed up.
