This is literally one of the best restaurants I’ve ever had in my life! From the carrot cake to the chicken pot pie with no mushrooms might I add, this is the best food ever. Then you added in a cocktail, which is literally a top five cocktail for me all time. The cinnamon apple old fashioned. When I travel back to Chicago I am going to be here very regularly!!
I came here for the view of the river for st.pattys day. The view is perfect. The service is also outstanding. However, the food is just ok. I ordered shrimp toast and pork belly. Both had no flavor. I would go back but maybe for drinks only.
Had a fantastic dinner at River Roast the other night. We started with the Golden Gobbets—crispy fried chicken bites drizzled with honey; absolutely addictive. For the main course, we shared the Roast Beef, carved tableside and cooked to perfection; tender and flavorful. The side of Mac & Cheese was creamy and had this killer garlic herb crust.
