Jeff is the greatest waiter!!!! Every time I visit RL I hope I get him as my waiter and I've been lucky the last 3 times in a row. Great service all around!
I've been here many times and this was my favorite experience. Angel took great care of us, and after I arrived late and frazzled from traffic issues, the maitre'd couldn't have been nicer getting us seated. Such a fun, special place to bring friends and family!
Excellent as always - from Maya finding us a nice table, to our service and food - very comfortable and warm on a wintry night in our neighborhood.
I could tell that the restaurant was short staffed, as the quality of the experience reflected it. I love RL Restaurant Chicago. I'll give it another try to see if the poor quality of service and food was just a fluke because of the weather.
We had a wonderful attentive waiter. The martinis were excellent as well as the crab cake and lobster roll appetizer. It was a little noisy . I feel Like there are too many tables in comparison to the NYC polo lounge. But all in all we loved every meal and the birthday cakes were well received!
The bar staff was exceptional, and our waiter was incredible. Very professional and the food was fantastic..
We were seated next to a "station" which meant there was lots of activity the whole evening. We have dined at RL many times, and this is the only "ding" I have given for service. The food was great! The Cauliflower Stilton Bisque was phenomenal and the cheesecake was excellent!
A very intimate setting, surrounded by dark wood and a myriad of old paintings and photos in ornate frames. The menu is exceptional, to boot. You cannot beat a meal that begins with delectable lavage bread and then follows with Cauliflower Stilton soup and meaty Dover Sole. All while sipping on a Chablis? What?!?! My only criticism is that the bar area can best be described by the same chances you have of getting a table walking in off the street...slim. Plan accordingly. You will not be disappointed.
We never visit Chicago without having lunch at RL. The food, service and environment never disappoint.

Be try friendly and helpful staff. Food is very good but seems a bit over priced for how basic the items are (i.e. pigs in a blanket)
We’ve been coming here for years. Over the past 5 years, food quality has declined; quantity is half of what most dishes once were, and prices have skyrocketed. Our calamari dish came out cold and so so small, crab/avacado salad ridiculously small, burger was lacking, french fries appeared to be fried in old grease , Ceasar salad again small.
This once was one of our favorite places to dine……. Not anymore. I’d pass on this restaurant.

I loved RL! The place to see and to be seen!
You have to make a reservation, otherwise the wait line could get quite long. We walked-in and requested a reservation for the following day, and we got it.
The service was excellent! The couple of food items are ordered were very tasty, the crab cake was devine!!!
My favourite part of my visit to RL, was the atmosphere and the awesome service!
