My first meal ever in Chicago, I wanted an authentic Chicago staple so I picked their Pizza puff and fries. This did not disappoint, the closest thing I can compare a pizza puff to would be a pizza roll. They're far from the same thing, it's just what I was reminded of. I also got the slaw side and beans. It's like a calzonè and a pizza roll got together type thing. 4 paws up from me!

All in all, the food is BAD!!!!!!! Bought a meal for my wife and I. We purchased Beef brisket meal and the pulled chicken meal. Fries were cold and wimpy, baked beans tasted like they just scooped it out of a can, and the slaw tasted like it was sitting unrefrigerated for weeks. The chicken wasn't pulled and tough and my wife said the brisket had no taste. My wife said she should have realized the food would be this bad because she didn't see any smokers cooking. Lol. I do not recommend this place. I should have went to Sbarros!!!!

No 1 ribs, no 2 ribs, maybe 3 ribs, yes 4 ribs….. Make sure you grab some ribs before you get on the train so you can get all barbecue messy. Y’all know you want to be the guy or gal on the train that’s all messy with rib.
Just not very good if I'm honest. Baked beans indistinguishable from canned, collards are ok but the worst I've had (hard to mess up collards), burgers were bad, chicken was under seasoned, but admittedly moist and properly cooked. The sauces aren't really worth bothering with. There's much better BBQ to be had

Maybe it's because I'm old and people tend to think old people are too stupid to give quality food and service and such but I paid about $28 all told, for Robert's ribs and what I received was I think it may have been ribs but they were really large bones... What meat there was and there was very little was as hard as if it had been sitting for weeks hopefully in a refrigerator. Don't buy Robert's ribs maybe it's just me because I'm 87 they saw me coming not very nice to treat your grandma like that

Restaurantji Recommends
While I would not expect a great atmosphere from a food place in Union Station the food I recieved today was just awful. The quality (burger patty was school cafeteria quality) flavor (unseasoned perch on bun), cooking ( fries unkooded in the middle) pretty much rendered this $30 meal inedible. I would recommend this place is avoided.

Tried the 5 wings.. honestly no flavor in anything not even a pinch of salt on the fries lol.. if you’re using an Amtrak voucher, use it to the last dime. Black boy at the counter tried to give himself a $6 tip. 0 stars
Fine lunch place, still a pretty good value for downtown, especially the specials. Grilled/griddle and fried food is local, smoked food is done at the restaurant and reheated on the grill. One of the better choices in the food court at Union Station, but somewhat limited hours.
