Charged 7$ for this… and it took 15 minutes despite me being the only person in there. This is not my first time there and I am always disappointed

The WORST EXPERIENCE !!!!!!!!!!! As a frequent customer , I purchased a latte that I always get . The latte tasted watery ,so I told the server. She declined to remake the latte per the store policy they cannot remake, refund or change the drink (in a rude way) .She informed me unless they made the wrong drink is against the store policy. No manager was available so I left the drink on the counter and emailed the owner . I received no response from email. Three days later on my next visit as I was eating my food and having a smoothie . I spoke with another employee about my the issue . She apologized and confirmed that they had issues with the Barista machine and offered to replace the drink for my next visit . Considering , I had already purchased a drink and food . Today, I went in to purchase my food and asked about the drink. The server asked did I email the store and talk to some one . I explained,Yes I did along with describing the server I spoke with . The owner rushed out and rudely said Did you email me ? Did you get an email from me? I responded yes , I emailed( provided email ) and explained , I didn’t received a response email back. Explained to him I spoke with the server and what she said . He then again rudely responded , well I am the owner and she cannot say that and I don’t appreciate you trying to scam and get a free drink. He said I didn’t email you and you are trying to scam a free drink !!
Appalled and Embarrassed I asked for a refund and left. I cannot believe he blantly accused me of trying to steal or scam . He lacked the respect of evening talking to me as a person yet along a customer . Who frequently comes weekly alone and daily with my children before school .
The worst experience ever over a $8 drink that they messed up and I left there .
I will never go back !!!!!!!!!!! Defamation of character at its best !! I am so appalled

Ordered from here for the very first time using Uber eats. I got the brisket grilled cheese sandwich and the biscuit bowl. It was overpriced at $31, before tip for two items but that’s food delivery these days. The sandwich seemed alright until halfway through when I bit down and pulled back, there was a long ass hair in the middle of it… I kid you not, there was a literal hair lodged in between the brisket and melted cheese of the sandwich. Obviously I didn’t finish the rest, but I was halfway through it already! I was so disappointed and disgusted that I threw out the biscuit bowl because why even risk it. I definitely will not be patronizing this business ever again. Tread lightly and check your food!

I have no idea where these 4-star reviews are coming from! This is hands down the best breakfast sandwich in town. The place is fantastic!

This place has to be open because there aren't many options in this area. My order was downright awful from the latte to the sandwiches to the attitudes of the workers. Amateur hour.

Do NOT patronize here!! The owner is beyond rude and disrespectful to frequent customers and has a blatant disregard for customer satisfaction! This WAS my go to stop for coffee and light bites on my way to work UNTIL one day I tried a new smoothie and to my surprise it was extremely bitter despite having mangos and peaches. I let the staff know that I was not pleased and to my surprise I was met with a snide response of "we don't issue refunds or remake items because YOU don't like them." I then requested to speak with the manager and was told that "I will see if the owner is available." When the owner arrived he proceeded to speak in a condescending tone as he asked me "What do you want me to do. Allow you to try everything on the menu until you decide you like something?" I was completely appalled!! I simply asked for him to approve a swap to another smoothie that I had tried before and that actually tasted nice. After over 10mins of going back and forth he reluctantly said "FINE! You can get what you want!" The persistent push back and arrogant demeanor was totally unnecessary and definitely uncalled for to any guest especially one that visits the establishment 3-4 times per week! I will NEVER go back and I recommend the same to all because they do not value your money!!

This morning, my nephew and sister went to Robust Coffee Lounge to grab a smoothie, only to be shockingly refused service. When my sister got out of the car to speak with the manager, he very flippantly said they don’t serve students after 8:00 AM. My nephew doesn’t even start school until 8:45! My sister explained this, and the owner’s dismissive response was, “You should get out of your car next time.” Well, she was out of the car this time, yet still treated with outright disrespect.
As a CSTA Equity Fellow and a business owner who actively fights for fairness and equity, I am disgusted by how this business treats its loyal Black customers. My nephew doesn’t even go to school in the area, but instead of hearing my sister out, they refused to serve him. The owner’s dismissive and condescending attitude made it clear that they don’t value the Black community that supports their business.
After years of coming here and even having our own "regular orders," this is how we’re treated? My nephew has been ordering the same smoothie here for years, and now, after this incident, it’s clear they don’t deserve our business. His self-esteem took a major hit—he was embarrassed and humiliated, and no child should be made to feel that way over something as trivial as a smoothie.
This is bigger than one bad experience. We are taking this matter to our fraternities, sororities, and the NAACP. Robust Coffee Lounge needs to be held accountable for how they treat our community. We will no longer support businesses that come into our neighborhoods and disrespect the very people who keep their doors open.
Your dismissiveness has consequences, and we won’t be quiet about it. It’s time for Robust Coffee Lounge to realize that they can’t continue operating this way in our community. If you can’t respect us, you will lose us—and not just our family, but the entire community you’ve disrespected.

The coffee was out of this world!!! Had a colleague pick up some coffee other than Dunkin so when I saw it, I wasn't expecting much. Very pleasantly surprised. The coffee was rich, flavorful, and strong! Very well made! And it's a local shop! Go by and visit if you're in the neighborhood!!!
Good service! Not the Robust of old, but still one of my favs. I usually order the egg and Muenster cheese croissant ?. It was good, but it's been better. I'll go back again and order something new and my decaf caramel latte ☕ and see if it was just an off day.

Croissants were dry as hell, I felt like I was eating a loaf of bread. They must have fed me the ones from the day before which everyone appreciates when they’re hungry. I’m not sure why they put 1 egg on a giant croissant which makes most of the sandwich bites all bread. I’d like to add that the lattes are like water, I’m not sure how milk and espresso could be so thin. I don’t want to bash your business but if I’m paying good money then do better please. Your food quality should be #1 priority right next to the customer. I’m sure this place is decent, I’ve seen good reviews with pictures, just not my experience.
