With drink specials on Wednesdays Bar David is a hidden gem in the heart of Chicago! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm ambiance and friendly staff. 4.5 stars! The salad was *amazing* - but the falafel I added on was overcooked. Otherwise it’s a lovely space, nice ambiance and very good food!
A new restaurant in town, and one that is destined to succeed. The food is amazing, the staff is super attentive and friendly, and the prices are definitely reasonable for the quality and ambiance. Can't recommend it enough.

BARDAVID offers a beautiful, modern space with indoor and outdoor seating along the midway plaisance. The outdoor area is not in direct sunlight, is far from the street, and has ample greenery. The restaurant is Mediterranean‑inspired, serving fresh and flavorful dishes, and also features a great Wagyu beef hamburger and fries. The burger is usually double patty, a good value, and on special nights a single patty comes with a complimentary beer. The beer was a pilsner from Moor’s Beer, a black owned brewery, and paired well with the burger. Service is attentive but a bit slow at times. The atmosphere is classy, elegant, and cozy, and happy hour on Wednesdays is excellent. The crowd is mostly older, mature, and professional, and the place is quiet and a good upscale option in Hyde Park.
