UC Pub is great, my mother had her retirement party. I will never forget.
It's a bit out of the way, but the friendly and quick service makes it totally worth the trip. Everyone working there was so welcoming and genuinely seemed happy to be there. We felt really looked after throughout the evening.
If you're a UChicago student, you NEED to get a membership here ASAP! Great hangout spot, lots of great beers on draft, and the best pub trivia you'll ever find. Come in on Wednesdays for beer passport, but be warned - it gets really crowded!

Though it may be the only place to go around the southern part of the University of Chicago campus, it is a cool spot to hang out, especially if you prefer a dark and old-school vibe.
