Downtown brasserie, all beers brewed on site and quality chargrill eats. Service is fantastic - our waiter, Javon, was brilliant - friendly, attentive and very efficient. Great sports bar and THE place in the ‘hood for happy hour and other event discounts. Don’t miss out!

While looking for a place to host our son's rehearsal dinner we decided on Rock Bottom. We looked at several places in the area which charged anywhere from $3,000.00 - $5,000.00 just to walk in the place! I highly recommend Rock Bottom for a meal or special event. Ashleigh was VERY helpful and informative in helping us make the arrangements. She was kind, helpful and patient with all our questions and very easy to work with. We visited the restaurant for dinner a few times leading up to the dinner. The hospitality managers and restaurant staff kindly showed us the space and answered questions when we were there. The night of our event was perfect due to the kind, efficient, professional Brittney and Carley. They were so kind and were responsible for the cluing me in on when things needed to be done to keep the evening going. We had many people mention how nice they were. The space was perfect! Other places in the area offered curtained off table space and a HUGE price tag just for the space. At rock Bottom we had plenty of room to visit, rehearse and eat. The view was also a huge bonus. The food was AMAZING! We chose the plated meal option. The Ribeye was seasoned and cooked to perfection! The Chicken Carbonara and Salmon also got rave reviews. We visited and called several places in and around River North choosing a place for the rehearsal dinner. Rock Bottom was chosen because of the location, interaction with the staff and the cost. They do not charge for the room, the cost is reasonable, the room is spacious. We were give options of space, buffet vs pated dinner, bar packages, kids menu. Bottom line, Rock Bottom staff ~ wonderful, food ~ fantastic, space ~ perfect, value ~ reasonable. Thank you to Rock Bottom

Went for a couple of beers and ended up eating here after seeing the meals for others coming out. They have a good selection of beer and plenty of screens for sports fans. We went on Sunday and the live NFL game was on the tv. Several people just watching this at the bar. I got half a rack of ribs with waffle fries and slaw and it was excellent. Had a touch of heat to it. I almost got a full rack but the staff member taking the order basically said I wouldn't eat it and having had half, he was correct. My wife had the fish and chips and was equally impressed. We got a dessert to share and the carrot cake was terrific, but the size was just plane crazy. Too much for 2 of us. Under no circumstances get a dessert for yourself. If you do, good luck.

This was our first time at Rock Bottom, although we come to Chicago 1-2 times a year and always stay in the River North area. Took the brewery and beer tasting tour found on Groupon. The tour itself was interesting but the tasting spent with the master brewer, Ray, was really informative. They brew several different styles of beer onsite. I enjoyed their Belgian Wheat and Dark Lager the most. But as an extra treat, we were given samples of a keg aged lager that was fantastic, smooth and complex with infusion of bourbon flavor. We liked the experience so much that we stayed to eat. Burgers were cooked perfectly with a nice grilled flavor with fresh toppings and a grilled bun. Waffle fries were crisp and well seasoned. Tuesdays several of their beers on tap are $2 if you eat there too. We will be back!!!

We love local beer when we visit. This place had a great selection and the bar service was excellent. The bartender knew everything about beer which is always helpful. We did not try the food but they make their own pizza dough.

Staff Terrible. Uninterested and not afraid to show it. Person who showed us to table didn't talk, didn't smile, didn't check our reservation. Server wasn't much better and made mistakes with both order and bill. Food was ok only. Fries were cold on receipt for all 4 diners. There is much better restaurants in Chicago and the pizzeria we ate at the previous night had far superior staff and quality. I believe staff always reflect the management.

Ok - so off the top...this place is great for kids! The kids menu has very good selections at extremely reasonable prices. I would suggest offering a few side choices other than fries. We subbed our fries for mac & cheese (a favorite) and the server forgot to mention the $6 upgrade price (whoa!) but he made it right by not charging me for my beer. The floor manager seemed a bit flustered but the staff generally were handling things well. The food was very good and the atmosphere also unique. They have a huge event space upstairs which would be awesome for booking large families/groups.

My family and I came here for the first time yesterday and I must say we will definitely come back again and most certainly recommend it. We absolutely loved the service and the food, our waiter was Zachary. He was very attentive and friendly without giving that rushing vibe that you get from some people sometimes. My husband definitely like his beer recommendations and us the dessert. The atmosphere was very chill and relaxed from gentleman that greater us and took us to our table to the place itself. Thank you for such great experience!?

Friendly place, was in town on business and made it my local for a few nights. Food was good, had a burger and they were excellent both nights. Great choice of beer, loads of screens, and busy vibe.

They have the best hamburgers in town and the beer was excellent. Great location in city and the staff was very courteous. We liked it there so much, we ate there twice in 3 days.

When we walked in for dinner, I was told the wait would be long; though many tables were wide open! I asked if we could sit in the bar to which the hostess replied, "it is packed". Walking into the bar, I wondered if she was referring to the bar next door as their bar could not have had 25-30% capacity. Long story short, they were simply overwhelmed with business and the staff was minimal at best. The bar tender served us and we helped by washing down our table in lieu of whining about it. She was grateful! Food was hot, though the menu seems to be much smaller now. Not the restaurant I once remember, but its doable.

Good pub food and a nice craft beer selection right downtown. Not gourmet, but a great place for a budget-conscious meal. Portions are large!

Bison sliders are very filling and flavorful. Candied bacon was just right. Waffle fries are great and their chili nachos are plentiful and well balanced.
