The atmosphere, food, and service were all a 10/10! They even had live music playing, which added a really nice touch. The food was absolutely delicious, and the horchata—made in-house—was a standout. What really made the experience exceptional, though, was the customer service. The staff made me feel like a regular from the moment I walked in. Hands down, the best service I’ve had in a long time.

Really really bad food. I had a tostada with watery chicken that tasted like it was mixed with canned tomato sauce. My partner was equally disappointed in her meal - she said the pork tasted like it had bbq sauce on it. Really disappointing. Don’t be fooled by the ambience, this place is bad.

Owner is great. Luis the waiter was also great. Food was bomb. They also have music on Thu night, which is what drew us in.

From the alcohol free cocktails to the skimpy and greasy tacos, this place is the second-worst Mexican food I’ve ever had. It has the aspirations (and prices) of being up-scale but the food quality is just a giant swing and a miss. You can go to any corner taco stand or bodega and get better food. Avoid.

We tried Rojo Gusano on a weekday evening and were a little bit disappointed. I thought the homemade salsas were excellent, and the margarita was good. But the carne asada I had was unbearably salty, and that alongside what I thought were high prices were discouraging. Beautiful interior and friendly service, but the food quality and value are the most important things to us and Rojo Gusano fell short there.

Love this place! Tacos-wise I’m a fan of the chicken tinga, butternut squash, cauliflower, and Baja fish. Service is friendly and efficient. The space itself is nice, too — spacious with lots of random greenery and artwork.
