This is more a place to go buy tamales and take home to have a tasty Mexican brunch! The tamales are a hit or miss, I have been going here for over a year. There are times the dough is soft, melt in your mouth, the filling is saucy and meaty. Then there are times they are dry and hardly any meat or sauce. When the tamales are just right I give them a 10!!! Best place! But go on a bad day and you might regret taking my recommendation. Go at your own risk.
I am Venezuelan but I love these Mexican tamales. The best ones are the ones with beans and corn and their rice pudding. I recommend those products that are super economical and good.
Best place closest to the house! Do I think $12 for a dozen is a bit much? Sorta‽ Is it cheaper and more accessible than monolos and other places? ABSOLUTELY! I never had a bitter or negative experience buying from here. If you come at the crack of opening or a Sunday you'll get the best fresh tamales. The fresa and frijoles y queso tamales are a delight.
