Best nopales taco I have tasted.

Their tortillas are excellent. Since they offered multiple tacos I’d never tried and I had the whole family so we got one of each. Lots of good ones. We’ll be back.

Took my mom for Pozole Thursday and it was absolutely delicious. I had the torta de milanesa de pollo, which was just as amazing. You really can’t go wrong with this spot. The atmosphere is lively and the owners are truly salt-of-the-earth people. I can’t wait to come back and try the menudo. Such an incredible place!

I finally got to try Rubi’s on 18th and let me tell you. OMG! I do believe these are the BEST tacos, I've EVER had. The cashier was super nice and friendly, the food was fresh and there was a lot of it for the price. I can’t wait to go back already. I got 4 steak tacos, strawberry horchata, and guacamole and chips. Thank you guys! Monica Miranda! See you next time.

WOW! I am a very picky eater, but man did this food have flavor, even with just the meat and cheese on a Quesadilla. This is my new favorite place. Drove there from Chesterton Indiana to try it and it was worth every mile! Get there early, usually a line outside and only so many seats. Ordered it for lunch delivered to my work in Downtown Chicago also, arrived early and very hot still! Thank you Rubi's for being so good at what you do!

The best Al Pastor in Chicagoland? Yes!
One of the best tacos and hot sauces in chicago in general? Of course! Amazing staff, amazing family, and some of the best food anywhere in the world.

I like the layout. I prefer sit down vs counter service. The colors were vibrant. This place is overhyped. Meat was standard. I prefer asada. When I asked for a sample of horchata the gal refused. In summary, lackluster tacos n poor service —not worth the trek to Pilsen. If chronicled on Netflix, I anticipated a Wow experience. 0 hospitality! Never again.

Rubi's tacos are so good it will make you feel a little embarrassed for recommending your regular taco place. If Rubi's is your regular place I'm pretty jealous. The variety of salsa is amazing too.

I gave this restaurant 3 stars because of one thing and one issue only. The service was great, kind courteous and attentive. The food was ok (lacked some seasoning) the atmosphere was pleasant. The only thing I had an issue with was the fact that they wrap their tacos in aluminum. If you look at the side effects when cooking or serving hot food in aluminum, you’ll see why this is a big health risk and issue. I highly recommend you begin using wax or parchment paper.

Best handmade tortillas, tacos, and quesadillas in the city. The large open kitchen has allowed for several new additions to the menu like the estafada, chicken tinga, and steak en arbol, as well as all the old reliables like the mole and the al pastor made on a traditional charcoal spit. The location is spectacular, with large shared tables, and so are the quesadillas!

We stopped in for lunch and had Al Pastor, Asada, and Lengua tacos as well as an Elote and Churros. All were amazing and beat all my expectations compared to other places I have tried! Each individual tacos had there own unique and wonderful flavor! So good we ordered one more to go and have later and still enjoyed it's lasting taste! Highly recommend!
