Been going here since they opened. Can't believe i haven't reviewed yet! Owner cares so much for his foods quality. He sees to every detail of every order intimately. I do not get nigiri anywhere else anymore. Ruk means love :)

Right up their with authentic Thai from Chiang Mai Markets. Right on the corner worth the drive and not bad on the wallet. Excellent Service. I had the veg. Pad Thai and had enough to bring home leftovers 😋

Hands down, Ruk Thai Sushi is a MUST-VISIT for sushi lovers! The quality of the sushi is exceptional, with fresh ingredients and generous portions. The atmosphere is cozy and intimate, making it perfect for dates or gatherings with friends. The service is attentive and friendly, adding to the overall wonderful experience.
The combination of Thai and Japanese flavors is a game-changer, and the creative rolls are a delight.

No sense of gratitude to the customers .. at least learn how to say thank you to your customer after handing out the take out order. I find that very rude , it didn’t happen just once but a few times.

Best chicken satay I’ve ever eaten! The Summer maki and Firework maki are an amazing combination. Excellent, fast & friendly service with fresh, quality ingredients. Even the wasabi is superior to any I’ve had!

I'm attending the bartending school on the corner of Montrose and Milwaukee, and the owner recommended this place
I like did my foolproof crab ragoon test. And I must say delicious dosent describe how creamy and crunchy and perfect the ragoons were. Sauce compliments, but it's so good it's not really needed.
Sushi was interesting 🤔 Crunchy rice - smooth interior
My spicy salmon was fulfilling. And the Wasabi pack a kick, so if you want to clear your sinuses, def recommend it.

I’ve followed them for years and dined in many times. The past 2-3 times the food has simply been not great and we feel sick afterwards. No we didn’t call to advise and we can sometimes have a sensitive stomach but i feel the food was much better 3 years ago, rather than this past 12 mos. Good neighborhood spot. Hope they can figure it out.

Service was good given we were the only ones there. Food quality wasn’t great. Chicken egg rolls had a funny after taste. The chicken in the fried rice tasted old & chewy. The dragon sushi roll felt like the shrimp tempura wasn’t freshly fried, it tasted reheated & the eel on top of the roll had a gritty texture. This place overall didn’t seem authentic Japanese / Thai.

This place was on my path for years and my only regret is that I waited too long to try it. My new favorite place for Japanese hand rolls and Thai Pad Woonsen. Love!
