One of the worst food and customer service experiences i've had in the city. We couldn't finish due to looking at recent reviews and fear of getting sick. please do not waste your money sadly. As soon as we entered the smell of fish was overwhelming, the wifi was down and we were asked to pay through zelle before we even received the food. The sushi was covered in all sorts of sauces, unable to identify which is which because they all looked the same,also the restaurant has only dark red lighting, i was unable to see much since everything is black. We requested basics on the menu and were told those were unavailable and the chef looked clueless as to what i was asking for. For ex: thai tea, he said he can do in the back to see if there's a packet of what im talking about and he brought out a packet and a cup of milk that tasted and smelled rotten. I was sick the next three days and this is the only place i had went to eat within the time span. These are new owners that i do not think are qualified.

Went for a Wednesday night date night with the hubby! Had an amazing time! Alfredo, the owner, is incredible! He runs the whole place and is amazing at what he does! The food was great and we will definitely be going back!

We stopped in for a meal and chef Alfredo could not have been nicer! Presentation was fantastic on everything we ordered, and it was all delicious. Best sushi I’ve had in the city! We will definitely be coming back!

Sakura is a great value and the sushi is really good, better than most places actually. They have a great selection of classics but also some pretty cool speciality rolls.
Conveniently there’s a liquor store a block away if you want to pick up your BYOB.
The service isn’t bad but they appear to have a thriving online ordering business so at times those orders seem to prolong the wait time for food. But I’ve never had any excessive wait times here.
The environment is pretty chill but tastefully decorated in a way that makes you want to explore all the design aspects. You often see friend groups having a low key evening here. If you want a lively setting you might want to try some place like Sushi Taku.
Parking: Parking can be a little challenging in this area. If you’re close I recommend walk, bike or Uber.

This is truly a hidden gem ❤️ humble little place, food and service was amazing 10 out of 10. You will not be disappointed. I came here to celebrate my son’s birthday. They even brought him a brownie ice cream dessert I was not expecting that, that was the icing on the cake for me. I’m a fan! Thank you so much! I will recommend this restaurant to my family and friends. It is BYOB, which is no problem at all.

I so appreciated seeing veggie rolls that were as dressed up as the non-vegetarian rolls on the menu. It’s hard to find a vegetarian-friendly sushi restaurant. The owner is very sweet and friendly and we had a great time!
