Love this place! We are visiting from Colorado and came here two years ago. I have been dreaming of their carbonara since then! Awesome service, great ambiance, loud and festive! Will be back when we visit next!
Cote place in Lincoln Park. Food was just average. My daughter and I had two dishes - Penette d'Carnivale and lobster ravioli. Both were super heavy and not what either of expected. We expected more delicate flavors. The cause was so heavy you couldn't make out the chicken from the artichokes from the sun-dried tomatoes. They need to rethink both dishes.
Our table was ready when we arrived, the staff was welcoming, happy, energetic. Thee place was bustling, but the tables were not crowded or pushed together and the space was. not too noisy. Our waiter was knowledgeable about the menu and specials, food was served hot and was delicious. We all ordered different items and everything was amazing. The sides were also great (I highly recommend the Brussel sprouts, whether you think you will like them or not- you will be converted.) We also enjoyed some of the specialty cocktails that were tasty and generously poured. Pricing was fair for the meal overall. A good value. We will definitely be back!
Fun atmosphere, great service, great food. Only downside is that it is very loud and difficult to hear your table mates.
Great service, great food. Overall just an incredible restaurant, one of the best pastas in the city
We had such a great date night here! We did the wine pairing dinner and they collaborated with Planeta from Sicily. Such a special evening 🤎
Great ambience and service. I was disappointed in the food. After a long wait time, my risotto was over cooked and most likely reheated.
Amazing food and service! Their agnolotti pasta was DELICIOUS!
Sapori Trattoria is hands down one of the my favorite Italian dining experiences in Chicago. Everything was exceptional, the service was attentive, and every dish felt thoughtfully prepared and exceeded expectations. We started with the whipped ricotta toast and charred octopus, both beautifully plated and would definitely order both again. For mains, the Pennette Cardinale and Spaghetti allo Scoglio were standout dishes, both rich, comforting, and large portions. A scoop of smooth Sicilian pistachio gelato was a delicious end. Highly recommend for a date night or any occasion where you want a memorable meal, and sit on the patio if you can!
I ordered the stuffed lobster, crab, and shrimp pasta dish. The dish came out with an unbelievable amount of sauce, and I didn't particularly care for it in the first place. The ambiance was nice, however, and the staff was very friendly.

The food, atmosphere, and staff were all amazing! The best carbonara I've had since getting back from Italy & the gnocchi was very fantastic as well. Also a killer espresso martini! We sat inside but the street view looked adorable as well. We will definitely be back!
It started with a terrible greeting from the Male host who rushed us to the table, dropped our menus on our plates and saiid “here you go”. My wife then asked him were the bathroom was, and mumbles something. Noise was 10//10. Couldn't hear yourself speak for a table of two. Bread was stale, 1/2 meals was barely edible and only the chicken part of the dish was eaten. Pasta way to over cooked It receives two stars because my meal was descent and the server was by herself, doing what she could. Would never go back Hope this helps someone. Plenty of other places in the area to go
Our waiter was great and moved us to a roomier open space. The food here is always spot on as well.
We used to love Sapori, but last night something was off. Service was not great. My drink was supposed to be with carbonation and instead of apologizing and redoing the drink, the server argued about it saying that it is carbonated. That the bubbles must not be working. Chicken was dry in one dish. Tiramisu was great. Overall did not meet expectations. Not sure if we would go back.
It was a bit warm and breezy on the street dining. At no fault of the restaurant. The food, service & cocktails were excellent!
