Another great meal at Sapori Trattoria! We arrived 20 minutes early for a 7 pm reservation and were seated immediately at the bar, followed by our table on time. Great martini at the bar. I had the braised short rib, with an excellent sauce reduction and savory melt in your mouth rib, while my wife had the carbonara, which she loved. Service was prompt and intelligent but unobtrusive. My favorite. We liked our table in the rear room sitting on the corner looking out the window. One note to diners: the inside seating is at close quarters and the outside seating is lovely (on a closed side street off Halsted) but completely weather-dependent, of course.

Sapori never fails to impress us! Everything is reasonably priced for the portions. It is the best food I have had in the entire city of Chicago!

We come here often and we really like it. However, the noise level this time was insane. I could hear people's conversations from two tables down. Also, we wished the calamari was MORE crispy but that's on us. Also, when we left the workers were dumping the cocking oil right between our cars wheels which was very awkward to see since now our tire had all this cooking oil.

The food was a big disappointment. They are skimping on quality of ingredients. They have changed long standing recipes. Their execution showed careless preparation. The food used to be fantastic but is no longer. Our server seemed very overburdened. He disappeared most of the time. Our table subjected us to a constant stream of employees walking to and from the kitchen and bar. Noise levels were over the top. Not a pleasant experience.

Tuesday nite,, sat outside,, very nice,, except for the obvious noise from traffic, but it is chicago-fied. Ordered entrees,, would have been nice to have info on how large entrees are. Two of us could have shared the one. Other than that, food was delicious, good temp, nice waitress- overworked, but handled well. Would return.

The drinks were good, we got calamari and it was tasty. The kale salad has way too many large chucks of bacon, tastes more like a meat salad which isn't for me but some people might enjoy! The pesto gnocchi was just awful - grainy and mushy - terrible! The place felt dark and crowded, but we had a table at the very back wall so maybe that's why.

Absolutely delicious! The portions were huge—definitely come hungry. My wife had the lasagna, and I had the risotto—both were rich, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. We also shared the Stella salad, which was so fresh and refreshing, it balanced everything out beautifully. Highly recommend!

The salad and entre were delicious. The back room was very loud as the 3 ladies next to us were talking very loud. It was also hot back there. Food was great. Waitress was a tad slow. I would go back, but would ask to sit in the front area.

The service was great and the food was awesome. When we arrived, we told them we had a reservation and we were seated within about 10 minutes. The only negative is that is extremely noisy in the restaurant so if you're with a group of people that is a little bit difficult to hear if you can deal with that I would strongly suggest this restaurant.
We went on a Friday night and it was busy so I knew it was a sign that it was going to be good. The ambiance of the restaurant was tight. Reminds me of a New York restaurant where they use every literal square footage for tables and what is legally allowed to distant between them. The pasta was homemade and totally worth it. The dishes weren't saucy and I would recommend eating here.

I love the atmosphere here. Very small and intimate. They have a great pasta menu with lots to choose from. If you don’t want pasta they have other options too. The service is really great and attentive too. Do not skip an espresso martini here, super good!!! I’ve become obsessed with whipped ricotta recently so do not skip that as your appetizer!
