Our film crew stopped in after we wrapped for the day. We really enjoyed the vibes and wide variety of drink selections!
EDIT: Schuba's admin is right, the venue, the hang! it is 5 stars. I will just have to find a new place for the best mac & cheese in Chicago i suppose.
I love Schubas as a music venue and hangout. Recently they changed their chef and he changed the noodle they use in their signature Mac and cheese. BIG MISTAKE. HUGE. the previous noodle had a much better eating experience and this one is trash. I hope they change it back
Always enjoy gigging at Schuba's!
Erin Lecount performed here and the sound quality was unbelievable! Nice, intimate little venue and inviting staff. The bathroom was also clean.
If you get an opportunity to see a music performance here, don't pass it up!
Great place for a show. Intimate club.
Me and my friends had a great time here! Saw the live comedy show and the comedians were great! Food was very good and drinks were too. However, when paying for our tab, I tipped x amount (I believe the bartender said 5% when complaining, I wasn’t very coherent so I can’t remember) and we were going to tip the rest in cash to make up for it. She approached me very passive aggressive as I was going to the bathroom, asking if her service wasn’t good and if I was mad at her which I found to be very rude. Working in the customer service industry myself, I would NEVER do that to a customer. Because of that reason I told my friends that we were leaving and to not leave the remaining tip they were gathering for her. Also, my friend had already tipped her a proportionate amount to his tab. This unfortunately made me not want to return to this bar although our experience was great. I understand that working at minimum wage (maybe not even) isn’t fun nor great. However, once again, I would never do that to a customer.
No idea schubas and Lincoln hall were different venues and got stuck at Schubas for an hour and missed a ton of the Lincoln hall set and still paid full price.
Great place to hear a band but beer selections arent great
Lived next to it for a couple of years. Great neighborhood bar and they have artists play who are sometimes your favorite.
Always love going to Schuba's for a show...great drinks, great sound and great ambiance. Also ate at Tide House for the second time and it was delicious. Great venue to see a show...

Always disappointed when one of the bands I want to see is booked here, but it’s not a deal breaker. The hall is narrow and capacity small, so it’s nice and intimate, but it’s hard to see the band unless you’re up close. Bar area is pokey and lacks atmosphere. In the summer the hall it’s unbearably hot. Sister venue, Lincoln Hall, is superior in every way.
Cool venue for smaller music shows
Amazing place where we went to see play one of the best Spanish rock bands of the moment, Arde Bogotá. The sound was great and the energy was amazing. Incredible experience.
Came here for Jenna Davis’ concert and it was a really great facility. Small enough so you can connect with the artists, but large enough that they have a great bar and kitchen for dinner.
an amazing venue
