W love Shaw's and dine there with some regularity. Service is always good. Oysters are always a hit. I usually order the same thing but decided to try the deep fried red snapper. Fish was perfectly cooked but sauce was too spicy to eat. I couldn't eat the part of fish where sauce was on top. It would have been nice to be told just how spicy sauce was. I would not have ordered it. And needed a steak knife to cut fish and could have used some help with cutting the fish. Not my best meal at Shaws. But no complaints by others in our party.

Our server Valdomar was absolutely fantastic as was our oysters and my dungeoness carb was ok as it is out of season, my wife's clam chowder and sons lobster bisque with lobster roll was delicious!

We always have an outstanding dinning experience at Shaws. The food is always delicious and the service consistently on point.

We hadn't been there is years and, quite frankly, had forgotten how good it was. Beautiful dining room, friendly staff and, of course, delicious seafood.

The food was just okay. The service could've been better. My steak came out rare and they quickly replaced it. Probably won't return

As usual, we had a wonderful dining experience at Shaw's. We started by sharing Shaw's Signature Chopped Seafood Salad, which is definitely big enough to share. If you haven't had it yet, you have to try it, Crab, shrimp, lobster, napa cabbage, hearts of palm, avocado, egg, cucumber, olives, tomatoes, scallions, Louis dressing and Italian vinaigrette. The Louis dressing is a mayonnaise-based dressing with a little kick that is perfectly made for this salad. For entrees, I had the Chilean sea bass, and my wife had the Club Room combination, which included a petit filet plus scallops and shrimp. Shaw's also has an excellent wine list, and we picked an Oregon pinot noir that we were not familiar with and it was terrific. The sommelier Nick was great, and I see he is also a manager, which is consistent with the overall quality of our experience. Our server Dominic was tip-top. The fact that he was also taking care of a large group in a nearby private room did not prevent him from being attentive to us and taking care of our every need. We have been coming to Shaw's for decades, and last night's experience was as good as it has ever been.

We stopped in for lunch on a Friday afternoon and had a wonderful meal. The seafood was the highlight—we ordered a mix of Oysters, the Crunchy Salmon roll, and the Tuna Crispy Rice. We also tried the chowder, which was delicious. The drink selection was great; we enjoyed a Bloody Mary, some Sancerre, and the Ayala. Definitely a great spot for seafood in Chicago.

It was a memorable evening centered around an enormous 5 lb Norwegian king crab that was well presented table side.

Good quality food. Oysters were good filets cooked perfectly. Great atmosphere! Definite place to visit when you're in Chicago

While this was the perfect date, everything went south when my boyfriend and I headed to work the next morning. We visited Shaw’s on Sunday 11/23 for the first time and the atmosphere was beautiful. The servers were delightful. We ordered the garlic shrimp, fried calamari, gumbo, and the crusted haddock. Unfortunately, something was not right. We went to work the next day ,and both of us had returned home with severe food poisoning. We suspect it was the calamari or haddock, as we had never had that at any restaurant and would not have know what it should taste like. Safe to say, we will not be back ever again considering we spent $120 to be on the toilet all day.

We got a giant seafood tower, lobster bisque, lobster roll, sushi, and Presseco. The seafood tower is always amazing with lobster, stone crab claws, oysters on the half shell, tuna tar tar, sushi, and big shrimp.
We all love the flavorful lobster bisque as an appetizer. My son always gets the lobster roll when we eat here. My daughter always likes the sushi. We also got a delicious trio of deserts and perfect espresso for desert. It was an amazing lunch, as usual. We had excellent service. They have a beautiful bar area, dining room, and oyster bar. Their Sunday brunch is legendary. The prices are fair for the quality of the food. It's not cheap, but you get what you pay for. We eat here twice a year when we are in town. It's great for lunch or dinner.

Stopped by Shaw's Crab House with my wife and in-laws, and the experience was truly outstanding. We went specifically for the oyster bar, and it did not disappoint. Fresh, clean, and incredibly tasty oysters shucked right in front of us. The sushi was vibrant, beautiful, and delicious, and the grilled calamari was a standout. Service was top-notch from start to finish, and sitting at the oyster bar was fun and interactive. One heads-up. Keep an eye on the restaurant surcharges. Seems like everyone's adding them these days. But overall, Shaw's delivered an amazing dining experience. Highly recommend.

Still never brought the brunch back. We haven’t been to Shaw in years since the brunch! Really wish you would bring it back. Probably won’t return unless they do. The brunch was AMAZING!

We use to love going to Shaw’s at least a few times a month! Then they got rid of the Brunch and we have not went back! Bring back the Brunch it was EXCELLENT!
