Mayra’s customer service is outstanding! Food here has been consistently amazing and I’ve been a regular for a year now! Highly recommended great portions and very filling.
The Al pastor Taco and horchata are incredible! It came with free chips which is fabulous. A cute local place I would definitely go to again!
The burrito is fire so good
Check ur bags before u go. First off they didn’t pick up phone and we called more than once different times. They we went there and they were not busy and lady said they were and the cooks chilling. Then when we got the bag my mom said it felt light and looked and there were 5 tacos and we ordered 15 tacos we didn’t get the receipt. We asked for plain with the cilantro and onion on the side. Each carne asada tacos had cilantro and onions and also gave us onions and cilantro on the side. What was the point They didn’t even listened to us Had to pull them out for kids and ppl with allergies. Either they need more help or retrain for multitasking . At least pick up phone say “please hold” I gave two stars cuz they are the only ones close to home and the carne asada is good and my dad likes them and he’s very picky for his carne asada. Simon we been following u guys before move and remodel. Need to do better guys. Very disappointed
Extremely rude female employee at cashier with ponytail and one airpod in the ear, she insulted me and definitely not coming back. Food tasted absolutely terrible as well and had to throw $37 of food away
Disappointed!
I've been a long-time customer at this restaurant because it's in my neighborhood and has always been a convenient go-to spot. Unfortunately, my recent experience was deeply disappointing. My order was made incorrectly, and when I called to address it, I was told the manager wasn't available. I called again later, and still—no manager.
They took my name and assured me someone would call me back, but no one ever did. As a loyal customer who has supported this place for years, I expected better communication and accountability.
Not only was my order wrong, but I also didn’t enjoy the food I ended up with—so it felt like a waste of money. After this experience and the lack of follow-up, I’ve decided I won’t be returning. It’s really unfortunate, but customer service matters, and this time, they let me down.
Requested no onions on my tacos and burrito . Paid extra for cheese .
Gross. Probably the worst taco meal I have ever had. Yes, the chips are old and stale (even at opening time). Of course they know that. The steak taco was almost flavorless, had it not been for what tasted like what chimney ashes smell like. The shrimp taco had a good portion of shrimp, but it's the rest that doesn't work. Your ingredients are stated right, just poorly executed i.e. burnt cabbage and a weird flavor profile. Too much mayo in that sauce on top. The rice and beans? What little flavor there was made me think they were older than they should have been, the rice more so than the beans. You can do much better at home.
If your in Jefferson or Portage Park you gotta stop in at Simon's Tacos on Milwaukee. Great food & cool ambiance. We need more of these places arnd the neighborhood. Delicious tacos & it's BYOB. Stay local, be local & Eat Simons!

Nice, clean, colorful environment. The customer service was decent, but the food was very basic. No special flavors or anything memorable that would make this place stand out. I had the steak fajitas and my meat was overcooked and dry. Disappointed. 😔

Great local place for tacos. Almost always, have good portions. Every once in a while there is a SMALL amount of meat on the tacos but their overall consistency during allow me to complain. Taco platters are great. Steak you can smell down the block. Lengua and pastor are our favorites as well. Nice patio in nice weather
